Re: 2014 NFL Draft: Round 1
^LOL^
My thoughts on the 1st round. 1. Someday, I will catch up to the Chargers FO, and there will be blood. Lots and lots of blood. And I'm going to recruit warriorzpath for the assist. Yes...blood. Lots of blood. 2. Darn the Cowboys. With the addition of Zack Martin, they have the makings of a great O-line. 3. Darn the Giants. Odell Beckham was pretty much my favorite receiver in the whole draft. He's going to burn us bad this season. 4. LOL at the Panthers taking Kelvin Benjamin at #28. Dude's a bust. 5. Really sucks that none of the great DBs that I thought might fall to us didn't. Screw the Chargers, Cardinals, and 49ers. 6. Still some great O-linemen available. Moses, Su'a-Filo, Bitonio, and Kouandijo for starters. |

Re: 2014 NFL Draft: Round 1
Yes glad to see the OL fell the way they did... Should be able to upgrade RT immediate ly and that is nothing but good... The cousins trade wagon is broken down. And I think I'm OK with that, sad for him that he doesn't get a shot somewhere but hey.. Maybe he shines in preseason.. Maybe he plays for us in some capacity this season, after rg3 is resting when we secure a playoff birth by week 15... Maybe he rises his stock and keeping him pays off next year at this time.. One can hope lol.. I'm excited to see our picks and how we approach. I say OL ... And then BPA ..

Re: 2014 NFL Draft: Round 1
Espn coverage team of the draft was the worst ever. I couldnt watch. Kiper is the only one giving interesting incite.
Gruden and Ray Lewis are just pure sh*t up there. Berman needs to go. That was def the worst coverage Ive ever seen of the draft. garbage

However, NFLN basically made their entire draft show all about Manziel. It was overboard. |

I watched espn because I love gruden I'll be honest . Yeah he's annoying but dude is great for tv. I agree about Ray Lewis though he's just not a great insight guy imo.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft: Round 1
I turned on ESPN when NFLN went to a break and seriously got annoyed within seconds. Why do they keep putting Berman out there? They need to put the guy out of his misery. He was just babbling about some nonsense. And Kiper comes off as the wanna-be smartest smug dick in the room. Ray Lewis looked like he was high. Then Kiper and Gruden started bickering at each other. What a shit show.

Espn will never take Berman off, he literally helped build the company. Gruden is the money maker on the network right now.

Same as Dallas they have a good qb for 2 or 3 more years and major holes elsewhere. Would have been a Terrible pick

Re: 2014 NFL Draft: Round 1
Why wouldn't the networks showcase Manziel? Who should they showcase, Bortles?

Re: 2014 NFL Draft: Round 1
Last night was over-Mazieled for sure. It was almost like ESPN was told to show him before, during and after every pick, even if that team wasn't looking at a QB. But that's what they do, they 'play the hits'. Like it or not, that's what a lot of folks tuned in for.
My issue with NFL-N is they don't show enough highlights of the player that was just selected. I'm sure it's a video rights issue and ESPN has loads of their own content so they have a clear advantage there. I enjoy their 'talent' more than I like the ESPN guys, especially Berman. Ray Lewis brought next to nothing but Michael Irvin brought literally nothing. It was like he was a spectator for everything but receiver picks. It was clear that Mooch and Marshall did much more research and knew the players & team needs better than he did.

He brings new meaning to the term homer. You know who else is pretty worthless... Deion with his quick interviews with the draftees. No insight gained whatsoever. I think he's got 3 questions on his card, #1 what's up player, #2 how you feelin', #3 how's your momma. |
