Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016

Reyes was the 49th pick in the 2012 draft.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016

I'd have no problem with Casey Heyward, he's been a solid nickel his career

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016

Heyward excites me greatly. Good young player in a stacked Packers secondary.

Wisniewski, whatever. But I guess anything that gives Steiger a chase is worth a look.

Starter.

He took more snaps at CB than any other Packer last year.

Heyward would be a decent pick up.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016

Redskins re-signed TE Logan Paulsen to a one-year contract.

Paulsen is a blocker who can catch passes in a pinch. Now 29, he missed all of 2015 with a "severe case of turf toe." He's a body behind Jordan Reed.

I know he starts but he is great on the inside as well.

I'm in favor of that.
Paulsen is a decent 3rd string TE.

And he is a legit blocker, something we didn't have last year.

Way better than Compton checking in as eligible every other play.

EDIT: Sorry Chico, just saw your post. Agreed.

Which would be a wonderful fit because it would give Jarrett the chance to be a full time starter at safety. I love that kid.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016

Welcome back Logan!

IF healthy easily our best blocking TE and a better receiver then he gets credit for being.....and cheap

Kendall Reyes welcome to the fold. He might not match Hatcher in production either pass or the run but he's younger and experience in Barry's system.

Looking at what we have right now on defense:

CB-Breeland ROLB-Smith DE-Reyes NT-Baker DE-Ricky-Jean/Paea LOLB-Kerrigan CB-Culliver NB-?

Nickel DL: Edge Rusher-Preston Smith-Paea-Kerrigan

ILB-Foster ILB-Riley

FS-Hall SS-Duke S/NB-Jarrett

I like Foster at ILB and it looks like maybe Riley is being given a mulligan on the shaky/injury plagued year 1 transition into Barry's D.

My Free agent needs on defense:
3rd CB (2nd CB really b/c its seems unwise to pencil Cully in as healthy)
Nickel Edge rusher
Interior rusher in Nickel

Cooley mentioned it on the radio tonight:

Kendall Reyes - Washington Redskins - 2016 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

Reyes was PFF's worst graded 3-4 DE last year.
