Schefter is reporting no progress made towards a deal at all and Terry is currently not happy with extension talks being reported by Jeremy Fowler. 2 highly credible NFL reporters. I hope you're correct, and it's being kept airtight is the deal. However, these words don't imply this at all. Commanders Nation will get concerned real quick if this spills into camp.

Could it go bad, sure but Peters is an experienced FO guy, and knows the boundaries; and Terry understands the business of football. They will work it out. I think it is Andrew Brandt that says Deadlines Spur Actions. Right now there is no immediate deadline so I imagine proposals aren't flying fast and furious. But it is the time of the season that even highly credible reporters are pulling threads to create stories out of nothing.

With that said T. Williams held out of SF training camp and even missed preseason games, but they eventually got a deal done so Peters may not see training camp as the deadline that us fans do.

I'm not at the worried stage yet. But I am definitely getting to the I'm fucking annoyed stage with this McLaurin contract. Just going to wait until training camp starts?

Deadlines spur action.

No need to worry until there’s something to worry about.

Re: Commanders 2025 Offseason Thread

Price just went up. Jets just paid Garrett $130M over 4 years with $90M guaranteed. Maybe that translates to $30M for 3 years, but still.

His delaying Mclaurin's deserved raise and appropriately addressing the edge position are odd to me from Peters, especially after losing our top sack man from last season. Just hope he has a plan for Mclaurin. Mclaurin is serious about this potential holdout. Camp is getting closer.

This team was so full of holes when he got here. Secondary, Oline, etc etc etc.

I still think our improved secondary will help the edge. As far as Terry - well I will just keep praying. Lol.

Peters has neglected the edge position this offseason and lost Fowler. Everyone knows how strongly I feel about this. Kinlaw is for all intents and purposes a gamble at this point. PFF currently has Commanders' dline as the 2nd worst entering the 2025 season.

Not going to cut it at all. Improved secondary will help edge, but you still need legitimate pass rushers.

While coaches often think higher of themselves then they should, I don't see a DQ team having the 2nd worst DLine. Top 10 maybe not but certainly top 15.

I would be curious how pff graded our line with Fowler at this point last year.
Our back 7 will definitely improve.

price may have stabilized. Garret is younger, so he has a lower and upper bound between Tee Higgins and Garrett. I doubt Garrett's moved McLaurin's up.

Art Monk’s #81 gets retired during the Seahawks game. Good for Art.
