Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0
Is Hankerson still short arming balls and ducking out of routes is the more important question. Sorry for switching up but is it just me or is he playing too timid.

Meriweather not dressing tonight. How does this guy contribute or start if he's not healthy enough to play.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0
Hes coming off of a torn ACL. You wait for him to get healthy and then try him. Its not like he has injured himself this year, hes just not fully healed from last year.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0
something I didn't like...Amerson...is not ready to start, although he is ok. Wilson looked a bit crappy. Rambo is getting better...but is still not ready to start. The light better go on next week for the secondary. i think DeAngelo has been rock solid this preseason...expecially, dare I say it...his tackling

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0
Jordan Reed may give us a spark by catching the ball but he cannot block well. However, Niles Paul has improved his blocking.

Speaking of Rambo, he was |..................................| That close to either picking or knocking down that pass in the 3rd quarter. I also noticed on one CJ Spiller run where CJ broke the run along the left side where the skins bench was, and he went past Amerson, breaking his tackle. Rambo took a good angle, forcing CJ to go out of bounds or else he'd take a big hit. However later in the game CJ Spiller took a run to the right, stopped and reversed all the way to the left side of the field. Rambo came flying out of nowhere and missed, Spiller continued running towards the left side where Amerson came to knock him out of bounds. Rambo and Amerson both need to look at what they hit. They cant just put their heads down, not wrap up (Amerson) and go for the big hit. That doesn't work in this league. Rambo looks like he's slowly starting to learn, but still has a loonnngg way to go. And I'm not at all surprised by Jordan Reed. When Robert gets back, this offense is going to be deadly. Our offense may even turn into our new form of defense (just keep scoring until the other team can't). And Daryl Tapp, I thought he'd be a good camp body signing that could develop into a solid player, but wow, he looks like he can start right now for a lot of teams in the league. He reminds me of Justin Tuck in terms of how he plays, gets to the QB and bull rushes into blockers. Its funny that Philly cut him thinking he wouldn't fit in their new 3-4 defense. So we signed him for him to play a lot for our 3-4 defense and help beat them week 1.

Anyway, he's def a starting corner for us and hopefully Wilson rebounds from injury and Amerson gets up to speed. The secondary will probably be the difference between a good and great season IMO, either way.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0
I hate questioning someone's mom, but that's nowhere on their site, and I haven't heard it when I've watched. Maybe it was one analyst's opinion of what Shanahan should do, but all the Skins sources seem to be in agreement that Griffin is starting week 1, barring some unforeseen setback.
