Re: Your final prediction for #10
i really dont want to take a 3-4 defensive end. i want an impact player, i.e. a wide receiver/quarterback/pass rushing linebacker, or an offensive lineman. not a 3-4 end.

a) 3-4 ends can be impact players on their own, like Haloti Ngata b) without 3-4 ends eating up blockers, the linebackers can't make impact plays Either way, 3-4 ends are among the most impactful defensive players on the field. Come on Cam Jordan!

Some prognosticators predict he'll be there at #10. We'll see.....

Re: Your final prediction for #10
Doubt it. Assuming Carolina goes Newton he would have to make it past Buffalo, Cinncinatti, San Francisco, Tennessee and Arizona. Not to mention Denver and teams like Minnesota behind us who would be interested in trading up if someone like Gabbert slipped.

Re: Your final prediction for #10
I think we go Julio Jones. This is an offensive league, we have offensive minds. Lets go start to build one. He'll be the best player there if he's still there at 10.

Re: Your final prediction for #10
I'm going to stick with Locker but I just think I should point out that Kiper has constantly said our first pick will be defense as has Schefter if I recall correctly.

Re: Your final prediction for #10
Someone else has been saying that too...though I secretly kind of hope you're right and it is Locker. I'll take Locker and Paea/Wisniewski over Jordan (Quinn)/Ponder (Dalton)

I'll give you props for Ponder, you were smitten with him way before he was the flavor of the month.
