And he played at Baylor. Very weird.

2) Manning very possibly would be hurt behind our current line, which is built around rollouts screens and a qb that is mobile
I hate this scenario because i still believe Griff will do great things for many years with us.
Since im entertaining it anyway , in a mentoring situation between KC and Manning though wouldnt it be KC's job to watch and learn from everything he does. Does it matter if he takes all the snaps? Just wondering if in other qb mentoring situations is it usually a "direct teaching" from the master, or more of a "watch and learn but dont get in my way kid" type of thing?

Im drawing up a new chant rite now. The RG-3 chant is old. Have to be able to mention Gabbert, Tebow, and Vick all in one breath.
Oh the future is brite!

Right now Cousins ability to be a legit starter is just as much in question as RGIII coming back to being a what we saw earlier in the year from him. you may very well never see that kind of speed out of him ever again. I hate to say and it pains me but it is a legit concern.

Out of the 3 rookies Wilson, RG, and Luck. RIGHT NOW I take the health Wilson or Luck over a question mark RGIII.
I will still take RG3 right now. If he loses a step then he is the fastest QB in the league by 4 steps instead of 5. Wilson is the flavor of the moment becasue his team is still playing but there is no way I would rather have him for the long term over RG3. Griffin is not going to be great or not great in the long run based on running anyway. He needs to eventually transition into more of a pocket passer (as will Wilson) and i think he is a better pure passer then Wilson or Luck for that matter.

Re: RGIII undergoing total reconstructive surgery: out 6-8 months

i've already drawn up an entire package of plays that involve vick on all fours, tebow jumping off his back. sometimes it's a run, sometimes it's a pass

What about one where Vick is down on all fours and Tebow pushes Gabbert who doesnt see Vick behind him? If the D catches on we audible to Tebow Tebowing and Gabbert pushes Vick who doesnt see Tebow.

That was PR BS. As i said, the skins knew about the possibility for the penalties long before they were approved. They big plans for free agency if the penalties were not approved, but they always had a contingency plan prepared in case they were penalized.

Also, youre statement that we were not a factor in mannings search for a team is not logical. If we werent a factor, he wouldnt have bothered to meet with us. Unless you think it was like going out on a pity date lol.

He never did actually meet with us to my knowledge. We had him on our list of potential Qbs, but he never had a meeting with us a la the meetings he held with MIA, TEN, HOU, ARI, and DEN.

We were ruled out fairly quickly after he became avaiable.

Yeah I thought Manning basically narrowed it down to Denver and Ten pretty fast.

Re: RGIII undergoing total reconstructive surgery: out 6-8 months

Peter King said that Manning was definitely interested (I know Smoot can back this up) in coming here. But as PK reported:

"Midway through the evening Elway received a text telling him the Redskins had just pulled off a huge trade with St. Louis for the second pick in the draft, presumably to take prized Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III. Elway told Manning, "Whoa—Washington just traded for the second pick. Looks like they'll get RG3."

"What!?" Manning said, stunned.

From that reaction, Elway knew that the Redskins had been on Manning's list."

...

"That afternoon Manning had another appointment scheduled—with Redskins coach Mike Shanahan and his son Kyle, Washington's offensive coordinator. Though it made little sense after the Rams deal, the Shanahans wanted to keep the date, and Manning did. They discussed football for three hours at Shanahan's expansive house in Denver. Talk about strange connections. Shanahan had been Elway's coach for those two Super Bowls and was fired by the Broncos after the 2008 season. Now Elway ran the Broncos. As Shanahan talked with Manning, a text message popped up on the coach's phone. It was from Elway. "Hey, Mike, put in a good word for us with Peyton." All Shanahan could do was laugh."

"Look at the teams that wanted in but were cut out. Kansas City: Manning knows G.M. Scott Pioli but isn't close to anyone there. Seattle: no strong relationships. The Jets and Miami: ditto. Washington was a little different because Manning knows and respects Mike Shanahan, but the draft deal with the Rams ended that."

Even with the injury I'd rather have RGIII
