Even though I'm a OU fan I'm very shaky about Landry jones he's a cool ass dude and a class act but on the field his decision making is crazy at times.. I want us to try hard to trade up to 1.. I really think Luck would make us a 9 win team next yr

The Colts have been secretly (if obviously) "sucking for Luck" for most of the season. He is the perfect successor to Peyton Manning, either now or later. It's a damned disgrace, if you ask me. They are just now making the change from Painter to Orlovsky (as if that will help any). When the Colts passed on picking up Orton on waivers, that should have told you all you needed to know about their intentions. I'm sure you know more about Landry than I do, but I like him as a prospect. He may be inconsistent at times, but he has big-time talent. Sometimes I think that the reason OU fans knock him is because he's not Sam Bradford. Well, he can't help that - but he can work to improve once he gets to the pros. |

If I had to guess right now, RGIII would be the QB for Washington come next fall.

Barkley. USC. Trade up over Miami to get him. Watch. Money in the bank.

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
I think the Colts strategy is genius. Sure Manning may come back for awhile and perform at a high level, and he will be able to mentor Luck during that time and ready him for the big stage.
It's too bad our coaching staff doesn't have this kind of foresight. It seems like we're "reactive" to circumstances rather than proactive...

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
I wouldn't mind having either one, but as of right now, I think RGIII is the guy.

I'd take any of the 3 honestly, I just think Luck is the safest bet

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
The more i watch barkley play, the more I want the skins to do whatever it takes to draft him. I hope we can snag him just with our pick, but we might have to give up a pick to move up. The guy is as good as any i have seen come out in 7 or 8 years, imho.

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
I dont ever think there is a safe bet but I would be happy with either of the 3 also.

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
I say if P. Manning is released, we sign him and draft a QB he can teach. Just my 2 cents. As far as drafting a QB I do not know enough about what qualities MS wants in a QB to even speculate as to where or who we should draft at that position.

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
The problem with both Barkley and RGIII is that either or both of them may stay in school one more year.

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
Ya never know bud. I am not staking my claim that it will happen just throwing out the possibility. It is the NFL you never know what the hell these guys are going to do. If I were the owner/gm of the Colts, I don't cut him or even trade him till he retires.

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
Well i am all for signing him, even if he has to play with a cane. As far as teaching, he looks like a bad teacher, just look at Curtis Painter.
