Interesting to hear Keim say from the presser (which I missed) that McC sounded like he would like to give RG3 more time to develop.

Wonder how that sounds to Jay? McC worked with Jon in the past, its going to be interesting to see if both these guys can get on the same page. If this is true about RG3, then Jay could be set to leave after next year.

Why??

Jay has said the same thing, that Robert needs to learn and needs more time.

He'll make him earn it but Jay has never said, nor has it ever been reported, that if Robert stays then he's out.

And McC's comments do not say that Robert is our QB of the future, it just says he needs to learn more.

Talk about jumping to conclusions.

Well I just pointing out McC clearly thinks RG3 deserves to be here next year and then the onus is on Jay to take him to the next level. If Jay cant...

So the opinion that RG3 is traded before next year, well, that may not happen.

Just thought it was interesting.

Just playing devil's advocate, if the plan is to trade RGIII, the smart thing for McC to say is how much we value him, to build his trade value.

I am sure this is a captain obvious statement, but this guy has been studying the top 150 college prospects all year long. I expect we will have a very very good draft!

He is a football guy, he is never going to tell a reporter what he really thinks about a player or coach...

After watching the press conference and listening to SM interviews. I'm impressed with this guy so far.

Re: Scot McCloughan to be new Redskins GM

So the question on my mind, and probably everyone else's, is what happens when SM makes a decision that Dan doesn't agree with, and Dan forces his will? Dan's done it before with the draft - that's why we have RG3. Who comes out on top? Owner or GM? I think as long as SM does everything that dan agrees with, its no problem....but, it also seems like this has a good chance of ending up like the Marty Shottenheimer debacle
