Re: Skins vs Pats - Game day thread

This game kind of reminded me of the game at Pittsburgh in 2012. A tough team in a tough environment. Good chance we were going to lose anyway, however so many drops, and the better team just slowly extended their lead over the course of the game.

I just hope that the team doesn't lay an egg against a very beatable Saints team.

Another thing, this is after a bye. This isn't a good look for Jay and staff...not at all

Re: Skins vs Pats - Game day thread

No one is arguing that the drops weren't a pathetic, but lets be real here, the 2 biggest significant drops were both in the first quarter. The rest of the drops were on fairly pedestrian typical short yardage routes that even if caught would have had minimal gain.

The Pats also had a wide open TD drop. I can't remember if they still ended up scoring a TD on that drive or not though.

The pathetic showing by the offense was certainly not helped by all the drops, but there was much more wrong than just the drops.

Yeah there was a fumble. You CANNOT KILL 7-9 DRIVES with that kind of lack of concentration and just brush it aside as a minor little hiccup. Our pass pro was fantastic, and KC was on the money. Not sure what else you can be pointing at.

Minimal gain that would have put us in 3rd and short.

Short passing is what a west coast offense does.

Until we average more than 2.5 yards a carry, we are a west coast offense.

I'm encouraged too.

They had a bye to game plan against Kirk, and he looked good.

Kirk will be our QB next year and I'm fine with that.

The 4th and 11 pass play hit Garcon in the hands. It would have extended the drive.

We KNEW going in to have any chance the boys would have to execute. To many did not. AS S10 has stated, Jay was sound, the personnel was not. KC was solid as well.
As has already been stated, we do not......yet have the horses to run with these guys.
I'm with Doc. If we have guys that consistently under perform like Perry Riley. Bench him and give the next man his shot....Can he be worse?

@JPughNBC4: DeSean Jackson told me he can't call the plays or throw the ball to himself #Redskins

@JPughNBC4: I also asked about the dropped passes today. DeSean Jackson said he's not the one making the drops #Redskins

DJax needs to realize he's just as much of a loser as the other 52 guys out on the field today. Stop being such a f*ckboy and grabbing at your leg after every pass like you tweaked something and go do more conditioning. Maybe you'll get open and actually be able to contribute before the end of the season.

I'm sick of Jackson. From what it looked like, Butler was in his hip pocket all game long. Pats DB's and LB's were playing aggressive ball challenging our wr's. Where was Jordan Reed today?

Pats offense gets all the attention but I just as impressed with their defense.

It's hard to see all the coverages on the broadcast, he was doubled and I saw bracket coverage on several plays.

I believe from that small sample size he was the guy they were trying to take away.
