Re: Training camp 2011 thread

So much for the reports about Jenkins not being strong eh? I think it goes to show that being strong in the weight room is sometimes overrated.

Mike Patterson treated for dehydration...

Albert Breer
Thank God. Immediately thought of how we just hit the 10th anniversary of Stringer. RT @LesBowen: Patterson being treated for dehydration

Good. Glad to hear it was nothing serious, besides I don't want to give them any reasons for excuses when we get payback on them for last year.

True enough. Same might be said, however, about playing like a stud in practice when game time rolls around.

Encouraging, but just like I won't doom Beck until we see him in a game, not about to christen JJ as a beast just yet. Let's see how he holds up over the course of a game.

Of course. But the fact we've heard comment after comment about how strong he looks at least puts to rest the concerns over his relatively lackluster bench press performance at the combine.

Still, it is better to see Jenkins doing well in practice than the opposite. Just as I wish Beck would do better with his deep passes, and not underthrow a wide open Malcolm Kelly.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread

The nitpicking on Beck's deep throws are amusing. At least it was only a "slight underthrow" I guess. Plus the dude has a sore arm from all the work so far.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread

Seems like Beck is trolling GusFrerotte by chaging his number to 12.

Jarvis Jenkins again...He fended off his blocker and got in position to tackle Keiland Williams on a run play up the middle.

Another player who continues to impress: rookie DL Jarvis Jenkins. He burst through line to get in position to tackle on a run to the right.

I want to know the # of which camp scrub JJ is beating up on! Early cut maybe?

Yeah, the bench press doesn't measure how well linemen use leverage or those special techniques.

Well I bet JJ is taking reps with the first team since Cofield and Bowen are not practicing yet.

Hopefully he stays on the team this year (active roster, IR, PUP list) and that keeps Royster on the team!
