I think the Pats still have a 2-3 legit runs left in them. If it wasnt for their horrible defense of the last 3 or 4 years they would have at least 1 more SB ring. Fortunitly they basically spent their entire draft class on denfense last year. If Talib comes back and they get another playmaker at the saftey or corner spot they should be a lot better next near. Although Wilfork is getting old.

The thing that stuck out to me the most last night was the horrible decision making by Brady and Belchick. The timeout before the end of the first half. The punts on fourth and short (at least go for it if its too windy to kick). Brady also made some piss poor passes. Maybe its age for both of them? Either way it was uncharastic for both.

As of right now, i put them with San Fran and ATL as one of the best teams going into 2013.

Pats were w/out Gronk. I think they would've liked to have him on a few of those 3rd downs that they didn't convert. They have a lot of young guys playing on defense. As long as Brady is upright, they'll be a contender for years to come. How are they going to be worse?

I think it's because he left and then crapped on the Redskins when he left.

I don't have a problem with him. I thought he was mediocre with us and couldn't catch a beach ball. But I'm glad he's gone on and had a good career.

I dont know, as long as they keep winning 13 games a year and making it to the AFC championship game and or the superbowl I cant agree with this. Until they show they cant go deep into the playoffs year in and year out I have to consider them a threat. That being said with every year older that Brady gets the window for them to win another one is certainly shutting.

Re: Around the NFL: Conference Championships Edition

I break it down like this; Guys that deserve a ring:

Ravens:
Boldin
Birk
Leach
Suggs
Ngata
Reed

49ers:
Gore
Moss
Justin Smith

I'm going to have to root for the Ravens based on more quality players near the end of their career than the 49ers who are a very good young team (hence why I'm not including Rice, Willis, Bowman, Vernon Davis, etc.)

Not that it matters much , but in both games the officials were horrible . The Pats and Niners hit guys late , helmet - helmet , head-butt and brady's slide - kick were never called , yet Atlanta and Baltimore were getting flags . Not to mention the non call on SF for interference at the end .
