I’d move Long to LG and start Roullier at C

I'd agree. You have a built-in depth option at the C position, Long slides to C quite confidently if something happens to Roullier.

We'll go into the offseason needing to acquire a guard for depth, but that's better than spending what it would take to resign Lauvao. You could do it with a G selected in the 5th round.

nyschke(sp) in the saints game played really well at guard. but by doing that you lose a lot of your depth. roullier looked outstanding also, at center

Gotta love Kirk's big FU to Redskins management ( Bruce and Dan) regarding the condition of the field.

An article came across my Yahoo sports app, or, The S, as I call it, stating how the Bruce Allen fucking up negotiations with Cousins narrative is simply going to continue. That Bruce put out a statement that the Redskins are really going to evaluate the last 5 games of the season to make a decision on Kirk. If I was Kirk I would tell this FO to fuck off. My opinion is they will transition tag him or w/.ever and try to get a pick out of the whole situation.

This drives me fucking crazy, Meks. YOU NEED TO READ.

The article you read from Yahoo (here) is a COLUMN, not a REPORT, and it is referencing this piece from Rapoport, which if you read it is rife with speculation. The only news Rapoport reported is that sources say the transition tag is not an option, rather it will be a decision between franchise tag or not.

Rapoport then goes on to speculate that it's the final five games that will go a long way towards settling that decision. He DID NOT report that sources say the final five games will determine the decision.

Do not spread misinformation. If you're not smart enough to interpret it properly, then AT LEAST provide the link so that those of us are can actually use our brains.

WTF

And NO, Bruce DID NOT put out a statement that the Redskins will use the final five games to make a decision on Kirk.

@GregBishopSI

Kirk Cousins father, Don, says he would not have signed any contract offer from the Redskins this summer. Even for the highest contract in NFL history (which he will likely sign this offseason).

Been nice knowing you Kirk. Sorry Dan and Bruce had to fuck it up for you. So bottom line is he doesn't want to play for the Redskins no matter the money.

I don’t agree with your assessment. His unwillingness to commit at that point is more likely a matter of wanting to see what life was like without McVay, Garçon, and Jackson.

He will certainly reassess anew this offseason and consider his options if not franchised. Based on performance this year he has to have better faith that he’s in decent hands with Jay than he might have thought he’d be.

Who knows, he may decide another option is better, but the Jason Reid nonsense that he’s still jilted by Snyder ignoring him after the Cleveland game in 2012 is just ridiculous. He’s not a petty person. He’ll simply think critically; where is my best option or the next 3-5 years.

Cousins already said himself that he was going to sign a one year deal regardless of the offer the Redskins made. Not sure why this is even news. Basically his dad said what Kirk already said.

Some of you guys are drama queens. It was stated back in the offseason that it wasn't in the best interest for Cousins to sign any long term contract with the Redskins then, so Cousins wasn't going to sign one. That doesn't mean he's not wanting to play here next year or the year after that.
