Really? There's a lot of CA transplants up here though, but perhaps they do wish they were back down there as they seem to complain about this weather the most. |

If it rains we crowd the box blitz form the outside and send good old suan taylor on the roam for the underthrown balls the hassleback is bound to throw

Stormy weather... Sloppy conditions favor defense and the run game. But Alexander can run too. We'll see!
Jan 11, 3:43 AM EST Mudslides Tie Up Washington Rail Traffic By ELIZABETH M. GILLESPIE Associated Press Writer SEATTLE (AP) -- Heavy rain triggered mudslides that halted Amtrak passenger train service between Vancouver, British Columbia, and Portland, Ore. - the second disruption in the area in a week. Mudslides also blocked part of a major highway Tuesday and chased residents out of a University of Washington fraternity annex, officials said. No injuries were reported. Passenger rail service was to remain closed for at least 48 hours, said Gus Melonas, a spokesman for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp., which owns and operates the tracks. Mudslides on Friday knocked out service to both Amtrak and commuter trains. Both services resumed by Monday but were halted again Tuesday. Buses then carried Amtrak passengers around blockages and replaced commuter trains between Seattle and Everett. Crews on Tuesday also cleared debris from a mudslide that blocked part of Interstate 5 near Nisqually. Traffic was being detoured around a slide that closed another state road in Skagit County, the Transportation Department said. Since Dec. 21, the region has experienced the warmest and possibly wettest early winter ever, the weather service said. In Seattle, Tuesday was the 23rd consecutive day of measurable rain. The record, set in 1953, is 33 days. More precipitation was predicted. The National Weather Service issued wind advisories, flood warnings and a winter storm warning for portions of eastern Washington as a warm, moist storm moved through the region. ---

Heavy rains at 14:00 EST in Virginia. Perfect practice weather and no need for dipping the balls in the trash can full of water. Too bad the Hawks don't play on natural grass. I guess that would be unsustainable with the constant moisture and lack of sunlight. (Up there they only grow grass indoors)

Re: Weather in Seattle Saturday? Take a Wild Guess!
I was up in Seattle in October for a weekend wedding-- it rained both days, but only light rain, then it cleared by evening. I think the rain helps the running game and the offense. It also makes the ball slick-- so I would not throw too much to Thrash the thumb.

Re: Weather in Seattle Saturday? Take a Wild Guess!
Most of the mudslides and flooding is taking place outside the city of Seattle.
I liked what Charlie Gibson said on GMA this morning, when they were taking to a Seattle reporter about the 24 days straight of rain and the reporter said that maybe Seattle wants more rain to continue as it will effect the Skins. Gibson said "The weather will not effect my Redskins!" :headbange |

Re: Weather in Seattle Saturday? Take a Wild Guess!
It's going to be wet & cold but I will be there rooting for the Redskins! It hasn't stopped raining up here in so long I can't remember and it has been cold too. I'll be riding in a limo to Seahawks Stadium with 19 Seahawks Fans! I'll be getting a lot of crap of course but I know they are weary of facing a hot team! I am so excited because this will be my first time watching the Redskins play live! Go Redskin!
