Re: So, Who is saunders going to bring in?
i really does not think ramsey has much trade value except a mid range draft pick.
the word was teams were offering a 6th rounder last year. so he did a bit better, maybe that bumps him up to a 4 or a conditiona 3.. we are kidding ourselves about getting anything higher. after the draft his value will bump up a little because some teams will not have drafted the qb of their dreams and later a few injuries may occur. also, paying in next years draft pick is always a higher pick for the future. might be a 3 for next year. is he worth losing for that ???? |

Re: So, Who is saunders going to bring in?
We dont need to bring anyone in, especially someone in their 30's. Patten may benefit from this style of offense as well. I think we will have enough draft picks, when Ramsey is dealt for a 3rd or 4th, to draft our needs. We have a young QB, a damn good wr, damn good rd, hell of h-back, and one of the leagues best o lines. lets stop the madness of bringing people in and improve who we already have.
that is unless we land Reggie Wayne, then what I said above is a load of crap!! |

OF all the Chiefs player that we could realisticly get, i would like to see kennison come over also...I think he would help accross the middle with patten and leaving moss open down the sideline, or pull coverage away from his screenplay...I also think money wise he would be the one that wouldn't break us off of that team.

Re: So, Who is saunders going to bring in?
I hear all you guys on the Kennison talk, but Gibbs is looking for long-term relationship with the players he's adding to this squad.
While Kennison, on paper, may appear to a quick fix for our next run, I get the feeling Gibbs wants someone here 3-5 yrs. And from what I've been reading here, Kennison doesn't seem like the right fit. I maintain, don't forget about Koren Robinson or R.Wayne. I think you have exsisting Redskins lobbying for both of them to be here. |

Re: So, Who is saunders going to bring in?
I dont think anyone has forgotten about KR or Wayne...I think Cap wise it would be hard to sign either of them considering all the teams that will be wanting to pay them #1 WR money, and we dont need someone that is asking for that....We need someone that is solid for #2/3 money....For FA's though i would like to see us pick up Joe J....I think he would fit in like Kennison and he's younger and would break the cap either.

Re: So, Who is saunders going to bring in?
I think they are going to let Royal go and bring in a big blocking TE a la Jason Dunn.. I watched the Skins/Chiefs game again yesterday and they do a lot of 2 TE 2WR sets. Unless they plan on converting Mike Sellers into that role (which I think he did in Cleveland) that's one position they will fill. Cooley will be more of the true TE/Tony Gonzalez player making plays in the middle of the field. While I hope Reggie Wayne comes in I still feel that he is going to be too expensive. I see more of an Eric Moulds, David Givens type of receiver coming in.

Re: So, Who is saunders going to bring in?
I'd love Wayne, but there's zero chance we could afford him. He's going to get #1 WR money from someone, and we're already paying #1 WR money to Moss (and rightfully so).
Don't want KR right now. If he can actually make it another year or two without getting himself into trouble, I might believe he's actually turned his life around.....but I'm not sold yet. Don't want Kennison. He's very inconsistent and I just never get the feeling his heart is really in it. May have straight line speed, but that's about it. I'd love to get J. Jurivicious if he's a free agent. My own bias aside, he's got incredible hands and is a tremendous endzone threat. Also a hard-worker and good locker room presence. Line up with J.J., Cooley, and Moss on the 7-yard line with Portis and Sellers in the backfield and somebody is going to be open in the endzone. J.J. would be a great compliment to Moss.......great guy to go over the middle or get the first down when you need it.

Re: So, Who is saunders going to bring in?
I am sure that we will add during free agency, but why do people think that we will be "raiding" the cheifs? Really who do the cheifs have on the offense that we would need? I mean the cheifs are not going to let Tony G., Trent Green, or Larry Johnson go. And like some one mentioned earlier bringing in Kenninson would be a "quick" fix and Gibbs is looking long term not a 1 year and done type player. I do understand the Collins to play a 3rd string roll but that is as far as he goes, 3rd string. The only player that the cheifs have that may be worth a gamble is Borichter(SP), and that is because he is young, and just a gamble. We need someone better and bigger to complement Moss and Patten.
