This is a very nice player and I believe there was no wr in this years draft that can do the things he will do in 06 season! Still the cost is high with a 3rd and a 4th in 07 along with the big pay day he will get a long deal do! OFFISS will he get Moss money or something less?

Good question. I doubt he will get as much as Moss, but we have made a commitment to him obviously, kind of interested myself to see what kind of numbers he will command?

he'll get more than moss. best guess is $10mill SB, 30mill overall and 6 years. moss got $11mill SB, $31mill over 7 years. lloyd $5mill/year, moss $4.5mill/year.

A new cba leads to inflation. I could be wrong, but i'd be surprised if we got him for a lot less.

Not likely. Not having to give up a #2 for Lloyd makes those 4 catches replayed 14 times looke pretty damn sweet. Despite my earlier reservations I think I am now drinking the Brandon Lloyd Kool Aid . . . which might be a bad sign. By the way, has anyone heard Lloyd rap? Does he have any flow or is he more of the a Deion Sanders "Must Be the Money" type? What a classic . . .

Re: Lloyd Trade Done

This is what happens when you cheapen your player's trade value by bad mouthing him.

I'm amazed that Lloyd has 4 separate threads of his own.

Re: Lloyd Trade Done

well, i'm glad we can keep our 2nd. that's an important pick for us (a new starter with our current needs and crazy depth at TE, OL, LB, CB, and DL) and a 3rd round WR wouldn't give us the same immediate impact. however, I'd like to know how much we're paying him.
