Re: Unit Analysis - Defensive tackles

I re-adjusted the grading scale to reflect a more realistic A-F system. I didnt do it scientifically, but visually, so forgive my estimation. But the lowest grade is a C-. I couldnt have that.

NFC
Panthers - A- (A-,B+)
Bears - A- (A-,B+)
Lions - B+ (B-)
Vikings - B+ (B-)
Redskins - B+ (B-)
Cardinals - B (C)
Eagles - B (C)
49ers - B (C)
Seahawks - B (C)
Green Bay - B- (C-,D+)
Rams - B- (C-,D+)
Tampa Bay - B- (C-,D+)
Falcons - C+ (D)
Cowboys - C (F)
Saints - C (F)
Giants - C- (F)

Re: Unit Analysis - Defensive tackles

I tell ya with lightweights Mike Patterson and Brodrick Bunkley at DT, Jeremiah Trotter is in for a fun year. The Eagles are banking on having an early lead and not getting run at ever. They are built to beat up on passing teams, and are vulnerable to strong running games.

Reid believes he can get his defense that lead. I guess no one told him that his offense is a joke.

Joe Saleve'a could be the league's most underrated player...now that Cooley is getting some love.

Griffin has been great and Saleve'a is solid. Lack of depth hurt us bigtime last season but shouldn't be as much of an issue this year because either Wynn or Daniels are capable of sliding inside now that we have Carter on the outside. Evans and one of the two kids we drafted should fill out the roster in spot duty.

I do still worry about the state of the DT situation if Saleve'a or Griffin misses significant time. But as far as situational rotation, you make a good point. We have pass rushers, run stoppers, youth, experience. We have it all. We only have 2 guys who have it all together. End is a different story. We have 4 starters.

Do we still have Killings?

I cant figure out if he's any good, but he looks like a crazed animal when he's in there. He's huge.
