[quote=TAFKAS;206439]Well I don't want to get into a debate or discussion about the NFL's CBA. But, Upshaw has to be given some credited for the NFL's relative stability over the years. The NBA had a lockout that killed half a season, MLB had a strike that killed half a season and the World Series, the NHL had a lockout that killed an entire season. In all of those cases, the players came back in the same position they were before, if not worse.[/quote
I agree look at the state of the NFL compared to the rest of these leagues:

NHL-Nearly financially defunct and with strike solidified its status as least popular major pro sport in north america.

NBA-Monster guaranteed contracts creating primmadonnas. The game is boring. Rules are enforced and fouls are called depending on who you are.

MLB-Major blow from strike decreasing popularity. Also guaranteed contracts, attitudes, and the such.

HAHAHA, name dropping.
In fact, if Gumbel would have left Genes name out of it I'm sure it would have been a small issue. But wheres the Freedom of Speech, obviously they see no humor in dissing the NFL's head corporate monkey but shit its just Upshaw. I dont see why he should lose his job over that, he should lose it for being a white corporate deep throater as all these media personalities are. Was it said on HBO?? HBO should be free reign to speak and do whatever. They probably just want to make a lesson out of him for challenging authority which will always be the case anytime a man attempts to dethrone power or fail to knee before and suck the "Power Teet"
Fight the good fight Gumbel. Damn the man.

I just think its dangerous to speak against position in powers and expect them to just takes it. That takes balls and what did he take a trip to the hood??

So it would seem that its not that Upshaw hasnt fought but rather that he will and will need to be controlled , correct?
