Re: We traded for T.J. Duckett?
I like Duckett, he's a solid goal line RB in my humble opinion. But I don't think we really need him. Not because we have Betts, but because we have Sellers

Re: We traded for T.J. Duckett?
If it turns out the Portis is alright, we could always trade him, or another back, for a lineman. It looks like Broughton could be on his way out with another fumble.
If Cartwright is such a cog on special teams, do we carry 4 backs in a game?

Re: We traded for T.J. Duckett?
Riggo you are right, Gibbs does love the big back. I think when Gibbs won the fight with Bobby Beathard to bring Riggs to DC, it was the last straw and Beathard left the team after that year. But we did win the SB the next year. This will be a good year, as TJ can run the rock.

SUPERBOWL OR BUST!!! ALL YOU LAME DOUBTERS WILL NOW REALIZE WE ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH MEDIOCRE... SNYDER/ GIBBS WILL DO WHAT IT TAKES TO BRING THE LOMBARDI TO WASHINGTON, AND NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!
As for those who think Duckett is not worth a third ATL has had the best running game overall the past to 2 seasons and with AL Saunders as our Head Coach Offense noone will be able to stop this offense when the season comes around!!!!

Broncos | Team receives 2007 third-round pick in Lelie three-way trade
Tue, 22 Aug 2006 19:24:43 -0700 Paul Newberry, of the Associated Press, reports the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/15/nfl">Denver Broncos received the Washington Redskins' third-round pick in the 2007 draft as part of the three-way deal that shipped WR Ashley Lelie to the Atlanta Falcons and RB T.J. Duckett to the Redskins, according to two officials within the league who spoke on condition of anonymity because the trade had not been officially announced. i think he's a good back....you cant say he's not because he's a back up and in Atlanta he was the goal line guy....people kill me with the he aint that good comment...lol POWER back good 1-2 punch. |

Re: We traded for T.J. Duckett?
and the thread i see in here is bring back Davis...Duckett has got him beat even if his knee was in good shape...ive seen his burst in between the tackles he's not as slow you people think and just to prove that check this out....
The Falcons Michael Vick and DeAngelo Hall are both rumored to run the 40 in the 4.2 second range, and 255-pound running back T.J. Duckett was clocked at a 4.38 during his senior workouts at Michigan State. |

Re: We traded for T.J. Duckett?
this is a great value trade. duckett is pure power, first round pick not long ago, and has been very good for not being the featured back. plus we only give up a 3rd rounder. betts is good but he isnt durable, and as much as many of us love rock, lets face it, he cant be counted on for large parts of a season
