I voted for Campbell. Great arm, Good accuracy, Good pocket presence, Good poise...now we just have work on decision making, which is what separates the wheat from the chafe in the NFL.

I'm happiest about the fact that it is PS, and not off-season!

Campbell. He has really shown poise and pocket presence and can run a little too. It would be nice to see him with the entire 1st string offense and for more than 2 quarters. I'd like to see how and if he can get in a groove.

God knows I'd have settled

TJ for a player that may actually contribute. I was shocked. JC's also looked promising.

Who would have thought that we could actually get a trade, for a guy we were going to have to cut? Gotta go with the TJ trade.

Hopefully Williams and Gray can do something with Rumph. And I actually hope that San Fran can do something with TJ. Good potential upside for each team. No lose situation.

Re: Daseal's Positive Thinking Poll

I went with the D. They're about all Ive had to cheer about so far. I like Campbell, but I'd like to see him have a game with more TDs than Ints.

Getting someone for Jacobs is good, and I almost voted for this because I like what I've seen from Rumph so far, but he's a part of the D and that again is all I've enjoyed in the preseason...

Re: Daseal's Positive Thinking Poll

Way too much excitement about Campbell in this thread, in my opinion. Good arm, good pocket presence, makes the throws, yeah gee that's great.

But what about the turnovers? Throwing off the back foot against the Jets? Horrible decision.

You can't win games by turning it over, it's the single most important statistic in all of football. Not passing yards, not passing TDs, not completion percentage, turnovers. He's not there yet. If Brunell goes down and Campbell goes in, I'll know he can lead the team and make plays. But I'll be crossing my fingers that he doesn't throw the game away every time. If he doesn't make smarter decisions, he'll be the kind of QB who gives games away.

I hear you, but those things will only be corrected with more reps as he becomes more comfortable.

The positives we've seen this summer, pocket presence, arm strength, poise, etc., are things you can't teach. And I think that's why people are so excited about him.

He just needs to play.

Agreed that playing time will make him better. But I don't want him learning on the job while we have Super Bowl aspirations.

What Campbell has showed so far this preseason has me excited for the long term. But I'm much more excited for this season; a season in which we have a legit shot at a Super Bowl.

Who seriously thinks Campbell can take us to a Super Bowl this year if forced into action? The only way we win is if he stays on the bench and Brunell stays healthy. That's why I can't understand why there's so much excitement about Jason Campbell. Let's make a run NOW.

Re: Daseal's Positive Thinking Poll

Campbell has me excited about next year, but right now I agree it's Brunell or bust.
