Re: Home grown talent

Our way of always going after fa instead of drafting is slowly killing this team. Sure for every good fa we get we seems to miss by a 2 to 1 ratio. It seems that g.williams like to have hitters at cornerback maybe he should also think about keeping guys who cover like smoot, bailey, clark. We really havent had that many injuries on d except springs and big joe,and preleou he was the worst of our injuries. Really we have been lucky injury wise alot of other teams of had worse. What we miss is a pass rusher which im sure we will spend on fa again since we have no draft picks left again. Also gibbs deserves alot of blame on how this team is built. The skins have been on the fa bandwagon since it started and we have nothing to show for it. Spend spend and spend always out bidding ourselfs. Other teams offer 5 million we go what the heck were smarter and richer we will give you 10 million. Gibbs should have been smarter and use the draft like it used by winning and championship teams in the league and sign a couple of player for depth and maybe a start here or their instead of over paying for lloyd, carter, artuletta and the list goes on and on. The same year we go thomas and coles we blew it on hall, that crappy punt and ko returner with the giants now. Also in realilty we blew it on coles too giving up a first rounder and 13 million and then eating like 9 million on the cap too great ownership.I cant wait until next off season when everyone goes ape about who we get and say we going to the super bowl no one can stop us now etc etc etc. That what we say every year because we are the Free Agency Champs every year. Lets try to be the super bowl champs again that would be nice. Hail to the skins kick some titan ass tomorrow.

Re: Home grown talent

the draft is like roulette...you just dont know what you are getting but aquiring free agents is similar...yes these guys produce where they have been...aa and ac...but can they produce similar results in a different system. The answer now is NO. I just dont think throwing money at big name free agents is the way to do things. It just doesnt seem to work. Let me just say one thing the season of 2000. its proven that money cant buy everything.

Re: Home grown talent

The thing about going with the draft its cheaper on the cap and you have more time to delvelope talent and you dont have to cut people every year because of a huge cap hit. It would give us more flexability. Hail to the skins.
