Brandon Lloyd really does catch 99% of the stuff thrown his way. We're all mad, but did we really expect anything less?

This week against Dallas our free agents have no excuses, Springs and Rogers are out there. Archulleta should be able to blitz and play the run. Without Santana playing, loyd and Randal should have plenty of opurtunities.

Re: Free Agents Kicking Ass

el has sorta stepped up, lloyd has made a couple decent catches, but he spent a lot of time on invisibility duty in SF, and he hasn't changed that here .

here's hoping though.

i semi agree, but by playing wide reciever, the only way to contribute( other than blocking) is to have the quarterback throw you the ball. lloyd has caught the passes that have come his way. and i love randle el. when he touches the ball, he makes plays

Probably because he is an average receiver. He is good in space but it doesn't seem like he is the best at getting open. I love him on kick returns.

I think that Randel is more than average. I also think Archuletta will have at least one sack, along Carter. Furthermore, I think Loyd will have a breakout game, because moss is out.

His past numbers would say average to mediocre (I will ignore the current numbers because he doesn't have a guy who can throw between the numbers).

they are going to have to fight cooley. because with no moss i am sure brunell will only look for one target on the field and its cooley. brunell doesnt have the time to look elsewhere. he locks onto one man and if hes not open he dumps it to the back. not sure if thats the scheme or what. but it seems brunell has "moss blinders" if santana isnt open its a dump off..what the hell are we going to do this week?

He used to hit McCardell pretty regularly but Smith was the "go-to" guy.

Re: Free Agents Kicking Ass

I think ARE's impact on punt returns was very understated today... he put our offense in decent field position nearly every time he returned it... 15-25 yard returns are more than average. For the first time in years, I feel good about our punt returner...

Re: Free Agents Kicking Ass

you can't do much better than El on punts. it's cool not having to worry about fumbles and bobbles every time though.

cartwright had some nice ST plays today, too... between decent returns and making that tackle at the 16

Re: Free Agents Kicking Ass

ARE is definately a great pickup. I always look forward to the punt returns and he provides the team with a special intangible that can't be judged with mere references to stats.
