nah Brunell actually challenged himself today. he went over the middle, and checked down less. most likely thanks the O-Line.

there were definitely some missed opportunities that youth could've fully exploited, like scrambling for some firsts and stronger, tighter passes, but there were also no picks which we can attribute to experience.

Mark looked better than he has in the past, but he did not amaze me or anything.

he did get the ball out quicker and looked downfield more often, and I think not having moss in there did good for him, actually. maybe now he'll look to the other guys we brought in to help him resurrect his carreer.

I still would rather be talking about how JC is improving than how Brunell is improving... NO ONE can argue he's been anything close to consistant and everyone knows it, so before everyone starts sniffin his jock, wait until next week...

if he takes us to the playoffs I will sneak into the fedex locker room myself and take a picture of me sniffing his jock with glee....

Re: The Official Bash Brunell Cause It Turns You on Thread

he was good today. that doesn't mean we're not 3-5 though, or that we'll be set for next year when he's (hopefully) off this team's roster.

why haven't we been throwing deep or over the middle before today though? i said it earlier, but it's either on brunell or on the coaching staff, and it sucks they didn't figure this out in the preseason or the first weeks when it was obvious it wasn't working.

and yeah, i know the D's been bad, but this offense hasn't been doing basic things like using the entire field or not staring at the rush since about week 15 of LAST YEAR.

I will say I'm disappointed with him running out of bounds on 3rd and 10 at the end of the game which set up Novak's kick. I felt that Brunell should have at least made an effort to dive forward if not to attempt to get the first down then to decrease the kicking distance for old Novak. Seems like he was more interested in not getting hurt than helping the team...on that particular play.

guys, stop bashing the defense, they won the game for us yesterday. Only 19 points from a team that really moved the ball against carolina last week. We messed with romo just enough to hurt his rythem. We also held jones under 100 yards rushing, and stopped dallas on their last few drives to win the game. BIG BIG improvement over the last few games. Brunell did what he normally does. He should have been picked off once, but other than that, he didn't lose the game. And at home, that works.

The D was improved somewhat, but we still had BIG problems on 3rd down and if it wasn't for TO's drop...

First of all, I don't consider myself a Brunell Basher. I just call it like I see it. The game was a big improvement over the last few games. He actually went downfield with a pass. That has always been my biggest gripe with him this year. He played a nice Gibbs type game. Although when he ran out of bounds at the end of the game, I thought that would 've been a great time to show, not just the world, but his teammates that he was tough and was leavin' it all on the field. Not to mention the fact that it would have made Novak's kick more "makeable". We all know that Novak needs the O to get as close as possible for him to even have confidence. BUT WE WON!!! Brunell had a huge hand in that. Touchdown pass to Chris Cooley....................NICE!

Yeah, our defense played GREAT except on third down. We got some decent pressure on Romo and run defense looked fairly improved. Just have to work on that third down defense.
