He damn sure could have done as well as Brunell if not better! How good do you have to be to lead a team to a 3-6 record?
could not agree more...this has been a long time coming, and it was willful blindness that led us to keeping us in. its sad that he will end this way, but we placed way too much faith in a declining talent for far too long.

ps.- taylor prob played his Worst game ever yesterday. weak.

I'd be really surprised if Campbell doesn't start next week.

Either way, it doesnt matter Warpath. You bring up a valid point. I agree with Matty that bringing in Campbell is logical, but at the same time, the back of my head says Gibbs will stick with the vet.

I think it would be a good week to try someone different at QB. On the road against a rookie QB. I would be a little nervous starting someone new at QB at home because of the boo birds. I saw go for it, make the switch, what do you have to lose?

Burnell is Gibbs' guy. Doesn't anyone remember how long it took him to put Ramsey in 2 years ago and he was playing even worse that season.

Right, but I think he is less of a Gibbs' guy than Brunell.

Didnt Brunell have to take Gibbs to the hospital when Gibbs was talking over the move to DC? I think Gibbs thinks that he owes Brunell. Maybe not, just throwing that out there.

I think Burnell took him to the hospital when Gibbs went down to Fla. before the trade was even made.

Re: if campbell doesn't start next week

anyone see the post game live show on comcast? I don't care if you don't like the people hosting it, Cyzabe, B Mitch, Ken Harvey, and Chick Hernandez. Im asking if anyone saw the show because B Mitch flat out asked Brunell after the game if he thought he would be the Skins starting QB in 2007. Brunell said he couldnt believe that he had been asked that question and of course looked extremely ticked off.
Also, when asked if JC gets to start next week all 4 said that they doubted JC would start in Tampa. I think its time to see if all the time we have invested in JC was worth it.

That was a blistering post game show, I always watch after every game because we have people there who are not afraid to ask the tough question (the ones they don't want to answer) and also do not sugarcoat things that are obvious because they're afraid to rock the boat. B. Mitch played for Gibbs for a long time and I'm sure still respects him as a man, but he feel much of the blame for this teams failures rest with the HC.
