Bears special teams play

I am posting this bc we need to get our minds off our team. The Giants are also losing, so its awesome.

Just watching Sunday Night, and the Bears just had a pretty sweet play. The Giants lined up for a 51 yard field goal, and the kick was short. It fell into the arms of a Bears player in the endzone.

He slowly took a couple of steps, as if to down it in the endzone, and then he sped off, catching the Giants off guard. He returned it for a TD.

A couple of points, first of all when you catch it in the endzone, it doesnt count as a touchback, unless you down it. If you keep on moving, even slightly, the play is still in action.

I was shocked bc I have seen this play in football before, but not in the NFL. Last year some college team did this on a kickoff. The dude slowly walked, as if he was gonna down it. The kickoff team stopped bc they thought the play was over, and then he sped off for a TD. W.Michigan tried to run this on UVA this year too(I was at the game) and it failed.

Basically it was a really sweet play, and I did not expect it to work in the NFL. Thoughts?
