Yeah, the Jets are the first team that comes to my mind. They don't have much running game to speak of, and for some reason we always find a way to deal with them.

Get draft picks for him.........portis is better no matter what anyone says. Although I have loved Bett's performance over the last few weeks.

I would say turn your post around. Trade Portis and keep Betts. You could probably get more for Portis on the open market. Plus Betts would be cheaper.

Portis is not going anywhere, nor should he. Betts has turned it up, but he's no Portis.

That'd be retarded. While I think Betts has performed admirably these past few weeks, Portis is head and shoulders better than him when he's 100%.

It wouldn't be retarded. What would be retarted is to pay big money to both Betts and Portis along with all the money tied up in the WR's. Portis is the better back but we can win with Betts. There is not a huge drop off. The number one off season priority should be rebuilding the defense. One of them is probably going to have to go but we must get something for one of them. Both have had injuries so whoever we can get the most value for I would move. Try and get some draft picks and start rebuilding the sorry pathetic ass defense.

What is the basis for this comment? Washington is 2-6 when Betts is the starter. He's nowhere near the complete player that Portis is and he's far less durable. And those of you that seem to think quality backs are a dime a dozen must not have noticed all the blitz pickups that Betts missed yesterday.

Uhhh... Betts has been injured every season he's been in the league, including this one. Plus, he's never even started half a season and has still managed to get injured repeatedly. I don't doubt that some team will sign him to be a starter, but I also think that team will be a bit disappointed when Betts goes down in the preseason from another ankle issue.

Exactly why I wanna deal bett's instead of portis. He's having a good season, so his market value is increasing.

We can't deal him because he wont be under contract come March, and we are past the trading deadline.

Betts has been very very impressive these last couple weeks. I'd wager we're all pretty shocked, as he's been merely productive in the past. He might be like Stephen Davis and just explode for a couple of years.

My guess, though, is it will never benefit the Redskins. Good luck, Mr. Betts!

It's not likely we'll get DP for a player that's going to be a free agent in just a few more weeks. Since Portis is our #1 back, I don't know how much the team is willing to pay Betts who will still be a back-up if signed. He's obviously playing for a contract, and while his play has been inspired the last couple weeks, he's still lacking the one thing he needs to be a every down back in this league, and that's blocking. He can run, and he can catch, but blocking in the passing game is where he's lacking, and Portis excells. We have a dilema on our hands, going into the off season with two running backs (both back-up's) in a contract year.

Betts wants to be a starter, and, after the last couple of games, has showed that he might be worth a shot. Given that, he's outta here. Do any of the tags entitle us to a pick from the team who signs him?

I know Duckett has not seen much playing time but what has he shown for you to like him?
