I hear you. People get all excited when Sean lays someone out, suddenly forgetting that he doesn't do his job much of the time. Plenty of room for him to get better, and he may yet be a star, but I have no problem with anyone saying Sean Taylor is a mediocre safety.

First of all, the hit was FREAKING awsome.

But I hear what you're saying. Its not so much his coverage skills as it is his poor decision making. I honestly think Sean can (and i've seen) run 1 on 1 with any reciver in the league, its just that he needs to stay the hell home and not bite so hard on the play action.

It happened enough times during the year that Sean had to be shown on film how he gave up big plays because he bit so hard. I hope he's not like B Lloyd yelling at coaches, thinking he's got it all figured out. As many great plays Sean made this year, there were enough boneheaded plays that ticked me off.

That was a nice hit!

Re: Did you see that Shawn Taylor hit?

haha Marshall Faulk asked Sean about his hit, and Sean said that he doesn't want to talk about because it was on a punter, and he also said it doesn't count. That's good atleast Sean is being modest about it.

You guys are nuts if you think Taylor is mediocre. If he is, woe unto the rest of the sorry safties that weren't even thought for NFC squad.

Re: Did you see that Shawn Taylor hit?

Heres another question, now I wasent like glued to my TV and I was in and out the entire time....but I didnt think I saw Chris Samuels take a single snap. Did I just miss it (which is very possible)?

It's possible he had a light load because he's scheduled to have surgery on his knee very soon.

Re: Did you see that Shawn Taylor hit?

its great that he can lay out a kicker maybe he will work his way up to knocking out rb and wr next. Lets calm down it was a great hit but it was against a god da-n kicker for crying out loud. He should be able to do that against a kicker.

umm............ it was a punter. punters are much harder to tackle i might add.

Re: Did you see that Shawn Taylor hit?

but a kicker is still called a kicker, and a punter a punter. and a punter does kick the ball, yes, but would it of be so hard to type punter? by typing 'kicker' instead of 'punter' has put some confusion in my head.
jk
i love you

Baltimore's Adalius Thomas returned Marc Bulger's fumble 70 yards for a confusing score in the first half, but there was no confusion about the game's best play: Sean Taylor, the maverick Washington safety, broke the unwritten rule about hard hits in an exhibition when he viciously leveled Buffalo punter Brian Moorman on an attempted fake in the third quarter.
