he is a pass catching tight end, and we already have one of those. and im not big on bringing in a guy thats going to get beat up all of the time

no he is only a pass catching TE, he can not even bolck a safety let lone a LB. He drop to many wide open passes. He is really soft!!! NO HELL NO

Talented TE who might be great in the next couple years if he shuts up & stops getting into petty disputes w/his opponents.

Not a Gibbs type guy & definitely not worth upsetting whatever fragile chemistry we have on the team.

There's only so much salary money to go around. What's left under the cap should be spent on areas of real need. TE isn't one of them. Even if it were, Stevens isn't the guy. Lots of off field problems and not a reliable receiver.
