Re: How do we think Jason will perform in his first starting season?

I think Campbell is going to have a nice year this year. Nothing spectacular, but a very constant good year. He made some good decisions last year and he is definitely not afraid to throw the ball deep. I also agree about the offensive line, but I think we have a solid line to protect Jason. His season will be based a lot on how well we run the ball this year. Between a hopefully healthy Portis and Betts, we shouldn't have a problem in the running game. Between Randle El, Moss, Cooley, and Portis out of the backfield, Jason has the weapons to throw to.

I'm not much on making predictions, but to witness the maturation process of Jason Campbell continue is the main reason I look foreward to going to games this coming season. As a matter of fact, he's the main reason why I'm anxious for the season to start.

Personally i am more concerned about how are defense is going to play then campbell, although i do think he is going to have a great season along with the entire offense. IF our defense can get back to its top 10 form it was in 04 and 05 i think we are a playoff team, and probably the East champs.

At this point I don't think JC is there yet but he could improve as the season goes on (esp after that early bye week). I think the play of the O-line will be key to his success like others have said but more importantly I think our Defensive play will dictate HIS success (not just the teams). If he is put in a situation like he was many times last year of having to win games or come from behind, its going to put unnecessary pressure on him and he may stumble. If the D can actually stop a team once in awhile and HOLD THE LEAD, campbell will be able to build up his confidence and develop into a solid QB for years to come. This season is really going to define him as a player, IMO, cuz its gonna be tuff in the beginning and if he can weather that initial storm he could be really good.

I think that we should draft Quinn.

Then trade him for 2 picks, a six pack and a Superbowl Trophy.

Honestly, if we pick Quinn I'd need that 6 pack.

I see Campbell as having the intangibles that you want in a QB. He has the skill and the arm, but also seems to be at his best under pressure. That is why am excited about te offense for 2007.

he will have a slow start and probably play right at average. i dont see brett favre or john elway in his career but i dont see andre ware or the thousands of others that compared to ware. he can definitely take us to the bowl but with only with a good running game and oline play

Re: How do we think Jason will perform in his first starting season?

the little bit we saw of JC in those last 5 games was just a glimpse of what i think he brings to the table. He has been a winner at every level and thats something you just cant teach. He also has those intangibles that a winner has and with that being said if portis and the oline can stay healthy i look for JC to have a break out season.

Re: How do we think Jason will perform in his first starting season?

With the mentality of a starter, an off-season were he's taking more snaps, and the O-line holding up I think he'll lead the NFC East in stats. Mid to upper 20's it TD's. But, if the line can't protect him were in for another long season. That will determine what we see from him.
The one worry I've always had about JC is that he's so tall behind the center, how long can his knees take the stress? If the center steps on his foot it could cause one hell of an injury to his knee while he's turning and standing at the same time. But...I hope that never happens!
