You say Moss but if I'm correct in the past you have really attacked MB for his arm and that he was playing like an old QB. With that said how can you blame Moss.

I knew this would be controversial. When he manages to: 1) stay healthy 2) put up CLOSE to his 2005 numbers and 3) maintain #1 and #2 then I'll consider him elite. I love him. I think he's great and love him as our #1. I also hope he DOES put up those 2005 numbers. People tend to think that if someone labels someone as overrated, they don't like them.

Santana just has to show me that 2005 wasn't a fluke. Prior to 2005 AND in 2006, he was basically a non-factor. I think the potential is there, the fact that people are already anointing him "elite" is what makes him overrated to me.

We have said this time and time and time again about ANY player in this league. One season does not an elite player make.

If you're applying elite to Moss from one season, why not Tony Romo based on half a season?

I'm more concerned with his ability to stay healthy and in the lineup than how people rate his contributions. We haven't even gone to training camp, and already he's beset with little nagging injuries. It behooves me how players can maintain they work out during the off season and keep themselves in the best of shape, then come to OTA's where there's no contact at all, and after one week there's injury after injury.......Amazing.

I'm concerned about how much time he's going to miss this season due to hamstrings, and an assortment of other little injuries.

Re: CBS Sportsline list of overrated and underrated players for each team

If you really want to get into depth with the entire overrated aspect of the game you must really define the word. So what exactly do you consider overrated? A player whose contract vastly outweighs his talent. (Example: Adam Archuleta, Daniel Graham.) Or a player who has one really good season and everyone thinks he is the best ever when really we have seen stuff like this happen before. (Example: Ladell Betts, Asante Samuel.) Before you jump down my throat on the Asante Samuel thing let's really take a look at him. Okay he had 10 interception this season and he led the league in that category. (although he tied with champ bailey) Look back to 2001 when Anthony Henry pulled down the magic number of 10 interceptions and everyone thought he was going to be premiere cornerback in the league and is he? I think not so does that in retrospect make Asante Samuel overrated. Or three is overrated when everyone seems to talk about a player but they are extremely inconsistent. (example: Eli Manning) So which category does Antwaan Randle El fall under? If the answer is none then how can he be considered to be overrated? That is the question we need to ask ourselves as football fans. What is the real definition of being overrated? And when we are able to define that then, and only then will we be able to say who is overrated and who isn't. Without that then everything else is mere opinion.

I think our offensive line is our most overrated unit. I mean people know our second receiver and DL situations are terrible, but there is a strong perception that we have one of the leagues best OLs. It's adequate, but Rabach is a league average player on a good day, same for Jansen, and our LG is a converted tackle. That doesn't bode all that well, even with great players like Samuels and Thomas on that line.

Dude, u put it in wrong words.. Individually, for some yes u are right.. But when our o-line works tog, it is one of best o-line in NFL.. It's all because of teamwork..

The unit can never be better than the sum of its parts.

Good cohesion allows for us to get maximum production out of those front 5, but you're only as good as your weakest link.

I think the reason GTRIPP said that our offensive line is overrated is not because of skill level. I think he was leaning more towards the consistency of the unit. And I see where he is coming from. They always seem to become a dominant line in the last five games of the season. But, seriously where is that dominance during the first 10-12 games of the season. We never seem to show that same drive and hear and determination during the majority of the season that we see towards the end when we go "balls to the wall" because we have nothing left to play for. That is what I think Gtripp meant.

Well, maybe Gtripp and u re right.. But we allowed few sacks, I think 2nd in NFL, I forgot exactly where we ranked.. And Betts wouldn't have had this much of yards if it weren't for our o-line..
