Re: I Was Wrong When...

In kindergarten, I voted for Jimmy Carter in the school's mock election.

I thought bringing in Al Noga was a great idea in 1993.

I also liked the Brandon lloyd signing.

More recently, I thought it would be suicide for the Redskins to rush only four against Detroit. The secondary sure surprised me.

3-4 is a good idea. Jim Haslett not so much.

Re: I Was Wrong When...

I was wrong on:

- Brandon Banks durability and ball security. Good to see the young man be successful.

- I bought in on the SF wininng the NFC West pre-season hype.

Re: I Was Wrong When...

I, for one, have never been wrong. (The key is to post in very careful and vague language, and never to predict scores... )

Maybe I'll run for congress or something.

Re: I Was Wrong When...

I was wrong when we were 5-7 and I said we didn't have a snowballs chance in hell to make the playoffs. I also said I doubted Gibbs would come back in 2008. Ooops. Two things I am glad I was wrong about.

Oh, I also said Andre Carter may be a good pass rusher but he won't ever be good against the run. Again, another thing I'm glad I was wrong about. He's been stout against the run and pass this year....

I too could not have been more wrong about Carter. When he got off to a slow start last year, I bunched him with Archuleta and Lloyd as FA busts. The guy plays with incredible effort on every play. His pass rushing improvement could be expected, but Carter has been great against the run this year too, with numerous tackles for losses.

Re: I Was Wrong When...

I love this thread.

I was wrong when I thought that coming out of college Ryan Leaf would be better than Peyton Manning;

I was really wrong when I predicted it would take LeBron James at least 2 years before he really contributed in the NBA and he might be a total Bust;

I was wrong about Chris Wilson, hey, he made the team.

Re: I Was Wrong When...

I too, share the wrongness of predicting big things for Lloyd.

I'd love to come back to this thread at the end of the season and say, "I was wrong for my premature wrongness concerning Lloyd."
