Re: Dick Vermeil
I still want to stay in house, but the Danny appears to want to go outside. I wonder what his relationship with GW is like.
What makes you think Snyder wants to go outside? I've seen absolutely no evidence of that.

Re: Dick Vermeil
Pete Carroll and Cowher rumors. Also along with the fact Snyder says it will be a long process because they want the "right person".

Re: Dick Vermeil
Yeah seriously, Billick would be a horrible, horrible choice. I'm not a fan of him at all.

Re: Dick Vermeil
Isn't Vermeil 4.6 billion years old? Is this yet another joke?

Re: Dick Vermeil
People complained that Joe Gibbs was too old to coach. What about Dick Vermeil? He's older than Joe Gibbs! I like Dick Vermeil. He cares about his players, and he's obviously a very emotional guy. However, I don't see him ever coming back to coaching again. Although, he does have the Al Saunders connection, so who knows? It would probably work, but we would be looking for another coach in a matter of a couple years.

Re: Dick Vermeil
Williams is the favorite right now. If he wants it, and I imagine he does, it's basically his unless some other candidate blows them out the water. But they'd like to keep as much in place as possible. Starting with Williams moving up to HC (but not President).

Re: Dick Vermeil
Yeah, I'm a little worried about that too.

Re: Dick Vermeil
Something else I can see happening is AS getting the job and GW leaving because he thinks it won't happen here so he has to look elsewhere. The only option for Snyder, if continuity is of any significance, is GW. Anyone else and the whole coaching staff gets blown up.

Re: Dick Vermeil
I can see this as well. IT makes sense too, unfortunately. Gibbs will likely contribute his most input as a consultant/advisor in this next year, but after that he'll be back to his old life & probably not as involved. DS may at that point revert to his impatient ways.
