Yeah, they also posted that we were after Cowher. I'm sick of all this rumor mongering.

I feel the same way. I liked him as a coach in atl, and couldn't believe he didn't get another chance. I think its strange the way he got shown the door after that season, and now everyone is feeling so sorry for arthur blank like he's some kind of saintly vicktim.

I wouldn't take Mora over Williams. What's the point? I mean, what does Mora bring to the table that Williams doesn't or can't?

I'd imagine Mora wouldn't ask for total control...

That makes allot of sense SS. Snyder is bringing him here to firgure out how they can get 65000 fans louder than the 91000 at Fedex. I see those little overhead things getting added to Fedex this winter and to top it off with Tom Cruise raising the 12th man flag before the games.

What does total control mean? This is a team sport and that includes the management aspect of the team. I doubt Williams is going to ask for Schottenheimer kinda control.

Re: Sources: Skins to interview Seahawks' Mora, Colts coordinator Meeks

From the reports and heresay, Williams is looking for Gibbs-type control (Team President), which is something I don't think Mora would ask for, and would be a positive for Snyder as he looks for a new head coach.

I'm not saying it's something to look deep into, but if Snyder wants personnel and FO control back in his hands, he's going to look for a head coach that won't mind him having such power.

Honestly, I can't imagine an owner wanting to override his coaches as far as personal issues are concerned and I can't imagine why a coach would want any more control than making personal decisions. Snyder has a history of douchebaggery so you might be right.

canthetuna:

Mora was not shabbily shown the door in Atlanta. He said he'd quit the Falcons' job in a minute to go and coach at U Wash if that job were offered to him.

I give him points for being open and honest. But the Falcons had plenty of reason to "look elsewhere" when his team took gas. No one had a gun to his head when he made those remarks.

i didn't know that... still, youd think the guy could work past it and get a head coaching job somewhere...

I don't trust ESPN anymore. They gave a long list of possible replacements, that didn't include GW or Cowher. On the list was Brian Billick!
