Patriots Expected to Release LB Colvin

Pats expected to release Colvin - Reiss' Pieces - Boston.com

What do you all think? I think this might be someone we should give some serious consideration to signing. VC talked about going after guys that our coaches are familiar with, and Blache is very familiar with Colvin.

He's on the wrong side of 30 but so was Fletch, and Colvin seems like he could be for Blache what Fletcher was last year for Williams; a playmaker who understands and can communicate Blache's message to the rest of the players. Plus his age could mean a reasonable contract.

(I also say we should sign him so we can continue the Zorn pun craze we're on and see an "Every Rose Has a Zorn" headline somewhere)
