Re: Favorite Stand-up Comedian:
I'd give another vote for Gaffigan. One guy who doesn't do stand up but is unjustly funny is Will Ferrell. His "Ask Will Anything" college tour is hysterical as are just about all of his skits on Funny or Die - funny videos featuring celebrities, comedians, and you.

Steve Martin is an all-time great. Dave Attell slays me.

Re: Favorite Stand-up Comedian:
There are so many great comics. If you're into more dirty comedy:
Lisa Lampinelli, Robert Schimmel, and Bob Sagat can be great. For the cleaner stuff, everyone loves Chapelle, Rock, Hedberg. However, Mitch Fatel can be great, Gaffigan is great (hot pocket!). There are so many great ones Im forgetting a bunch.

Actually yeah I do. I mean like he's a family friend. I haven't seen him in like 10 years though.

Best part about him is that he's a clean comedian. I like vulgar comedians too, but it's rare to see really funny clean comedians.

Re: Favorite Stand-up Comedian:
My vote goes to Richard Prior (sp?). My parents used to have his stuff on 8-track cassettes that I would sneak to listen to when I was a youngling. Eddie Murphy is a close second.

Re: Favorite Stand-up Comedian:
Speaking of them, how the hell does Larry the Cable Guy keep getting work?! I swear my wife DVRs almost ALL talk shows and late night shows and he's on EVERY ONE OF THEM. What the F?

Re: Favorite Stand-up Comedian:
Yeah I'm not a big fan of Larry the Cable guy as well, his routine gets really old for me. I love most of the mainstream guys though, but I have to say three of the funniest standup special's I've seen were by Rodney Carrington, Bob Saget, and Stephen Lynch. Mitch Hedberg was also another guy who I thought had a great routine as well.
