And like everybody knows, once you've seen a football game in full HD, then have to go back to non-HD, it's almost not worth watching.
I don't have HD but we had trouble with the feed for the first 5 to 10 min of the game.

I was also joking when I said I whish JT would snot knock Farve out for the year.

scowan, i disagree. if Favre was a life long redskin, i would definitely want him back. you cant tell me that Rodgers gives the pack a better chance to win, then Favre? and in this business, its all about winning

Went to the NFL Network website, and it's not listed as a "live" showing ... can someone please provide confirmation for those of us down here in SW Florida?

Generally NFL Network uses each team's local broadcast for one half. Let's see if they go all Jets in honor of the Favre.

All Jets couldn't be any worse than staring at Tirico, Jaworski, and Kornheiser's ugly mugs while a football game goes on in front of them. Why anyone thinks we want to stare at this Holy Trinity of Hideousness is really one of the great existential questions of the age. I heard that the military stopped waterboarding when they found out that showing a picture of Kornheiser was much more effective, especially when combined with audio tapes of Wilbon singing.

I was sure that NFLN would be subject to blackout but it was the same coverage. As far as HD goes, did you switch over to CBS-HD or CSN-HD?

I watch all the games on the local networks unless its on ESPN (Monday Night Football)or the NFL network latter in the season. We have always had preseason here on the local network. Like I said I do not have HD tv so it really does not matter. Are you new to the Norfolk area?

Should be a good game, even if it is preseason.

4out of 5 games shown live in NC now (I'll be in Charlotte for the Panthers game). Don't get me wrong, I still watch the tape delay games but I'd rather make my own impressions of who's doing well before I hear the insight of my fellow fans.

That was funny as hell. But in all honesty, football diehards like us don't really care what the announcers look like. Just be witty and know what the hell you're talking about. Some comedy wouldn't be bad either. I know that's Kornheiser's role, but this isn't really his best format.

I'm not expecting any actual coverage of the Redskins, by the way. It's going to be a Favre-fest from the word go.
