Very true, we have put our secondary in impossible situations with the lack of QB rush........
Hopefully , Hall will work out, re-assess Springs viability for the future, Carlos must continue his development. BUT...
WE HAVE TO GET A F... PASS RUSH........
Cause if we do, as First pointed out, our secondary is gonna' look pretty good

Smoot is a candidate for release in the offseason. If we designate him as a Post June 1 cut, we stand to save $2.0 million on next season's cap.

This is dependent upon DeAngelo Hall and whether we resign him, dependent upon what we do with Springs, and it's also dependent upon Justin Tryon's development. But it's not out of the realm of possibility that we send Smoot packing next year.
Regardless, I'm keeping my name damnit!!

or maybe I could be DeSmack

I think most people around the NFL respects our secondary because they see our lack of pass rush. I know Madden brought this up 4 or 5 times Sunday night as our secondary kept us in the game.

Re: Fred Smoot

smoot is the least of our problems. He tends to play at the rythm of the team as a whole. Not a stand out player but worthy of his position in my opinion. Man I miss Darrell Green!
