Re: Petition to Fire Vinny Cerato Started on Extremeskins

I want to start a petition to have Synder sell the Redskins to the Warpath members. If each of the 5000 members fork over 200k each, we could buy it from Synder for a cool billion.

ES is a huge site and very Undisciplined. The dog bites it's own tail. Here you are held accountable for your statements.

Vinny Cerrato has come out of the shadows as the virtual "GM". He has not had a first draft year except for [7th round] Chris Horton. $8 mill for for an old DE with 1.5 sacks (this season) is a desperation move.

My suggestion is that Vinny stop spending so much time on his radoio appearances and spend more time determining who we should draft to help this team.

Zorn is a good move - hailed by many of the pundits. No one is saying that Vinny has done well. No ONE.

Oh my, can you imagine this? Colt Brennan would start right away, we would get a ton of washed up veterans for the "vet minimum". LOL.

I don't know if the idea seems all that dumb. Think about the fan reaction when it looked like Snyder was going to hire Jim Fassel (not saying the fans were right, but still). It seems like Snyder listened to the fans in that situation, so maybe if theirs enough of a outcry to get rid of Cerrato he might listen.

It will in all fairiness help determine the success or lack of it in this draft........

Re: Petition to Fire Vinny Cerato Started on Extremeskins

How did Zorn's name get tied into this? I think most people would agree that he deserves a second season.

We're talking about Cerrato here. Is the petition futile? Probably, but what else can we do? I think (and I could be wrong here; perhaps we could get a poll), but I think most Skins fans would like to see Cerrato get fired. The fear that those of us have is that Snyder is extraordinarily reluctant to fire Cerrato due to the "yes-man" factor. Maybe public opinion can influence Snyder, maybe it can't, but if there is something I can do other than complain, even if the chance of it having an affect are one in a million, than why not? I'll sign the petition.

Petitions are silly. And besides Snyder already knows that the fans want Vinny fired. He just doesn't care...

One of the more interesting threads I found while cruising ES today said Glazer was told by Vinny Cerrato that Snyder was giving both him and the new coach two years to be successful. Apparently Glazer divulged this information on his Friday Night Show on FSN. If I'm right then it's probably the one thats currently being co-hosted with Eddie George and Shawn Merriman.

I find that a pretty depressing prospect. I can’t help feeling that that means that 2009 will be a complete wash. My faith in Zorn being able to turn this around is practically Zero. My faith in Cerrato is total. I completely believe in his ability to screw up any and every situation he’s involved with.

Re: Petition to Fire Vinny Cerato Started on Extremeskins

I'll sign it only if the other team owners can wrestle the majority away from Snyder and force him to allow a coach to coach and allow talent scouts to do their jobs. Otherwise getting rid of Vinny who is only the middle man to getting what Snyder wants will not help. Snyder need to learn how to let the passifier go and sit back and enjoy the game. Maybe if he spent as much time on his other projects ie; Theme park(wonderland) then maybe it would not be tanking and losing money.

there is nothing wrong with demanding accountability...
the skins demand it of their players, the fans should demand it from their team.
