If you were one of the employees, how would you feel? Ecstatic? It's reality now a days and I would be pissed!!

So you wouldn't be pissed at the bench warmer that makes a 6-figure salary?

From a total football perspective (which what JLC is supposed to be reporting from) the employees that were laid off have nothing to do with the signing. It was a unecessary low-blow. JLC is a total douche.

Ugh, why does JLC does this? One thing is constructive criticism, but another is this petty crap. Also on the Sports Reporters they tend to do the same thing sometimes...man I miss Riggo and his crew.

JLC just cant get the scoops he used to, and he has burned alot of bridges. I think its time for Jason Reid to take over all beat responsibilities...let JLC go report in Wichita.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks he sucks at his job.

He raises some valid points, but yeah the cheap shot about firing employees is pretty dumb. Using that logic I guess nobody should be signing any free agents today.

Yeah I agree that the points are valid.

I appreciate a dissenting opinion becasue then that means you're thinking of the pro and con recourse of your decisions and not caught up in the parade hype that's taking place.

I liked the point about the expectation of Haynesworth coming in and his performance in relation to that. Our line sucked this past year and we made ONE improvement to it.

Right now, God forbid, if Haynesworth goes down we have the same line we did last year that yielded terrible sack numbers.

Rather than signing Haynesworth I THINK he should have rehired those employees along with another fifty more.

While the Skins are mired in mediocrity another season, at least I would get warm fuzzies knowing that people who really don't have a lot to do with the on-field product have jobs.

I know that sounds cynical and shitty, it's the nature of the beast.

Oh yeah...when we got Jason Taylor everyone thought...Oh man is that going to free up Carter and he is going to have a big year. We all know how that turned out.

Not trying to be a downer but offseason excitement is running at an all time high and is not being back by substance. The present economy could tell you that is not a good direction to go.

I don't think everyone is overly optimistic about the Hayneworth sign. Plus, it was kind of hard for Jason Taylor to free up Carter, when Taylor was on the bench hurt.

JLC isn't the only one taking a stab at Snyder for the front office layoffs

Quote:
Snyder's spending comes across as economically brash — particularly for a franchise that laid off at least 23 front-office employees last month. Even if each worker was earning $1,000,000 a year, that savings would barely be enough to cover Hall's guarantee.
