Re: Willis picks Seahawks over SKINS
If they had gotten a good offensive lineman in free agency (not Willis or Brown) I would say maybe. Otherwise, we don't have enough ammo to go after Suggs, and I hope they don't give up any future picks (is there going to be a draft in 2010?).

Re: Willis picks Seahawks over SKINS
If Suggs was in that 2010 draft would you draft him? I would. Why not draft him now. 2010 We can afford the best FA's in the league

Re: Willis picks Seahawks over SKINS
I'm trying to find somewhere online some type of database on player fouls. Suggs is a helluva player, however I think he gets into foul trouble, I know I've seen him commit one too many personal fouls, especially roughing the passer. Other than that, I would probably take him, however could he play as a DE in the 4-3? He was a DE in college, but all he has played in the pros has been the 3-4 defense.

Thank god, he is trash and we are fortunate to not have signed him.

Re: Willis picks Seahawks over SKINS
Who care's about Willis? What has he ever done to warrant a starting RT position. He's probably on par with Heyer and we'd have to pay him more.
As far as Suggs goes, is this even possible? Is this just talk from fans kicking the can around or what? If it is true and we could possibly get him (I'd really be amazed if we did but then again, I said that about Haynesworth too and then again when Hall resigned and yet again when we scooped Dockery) we could definately run some 3-4. Haynesworth would be the undeniable force at NT with Griffin and Daniels (assuming he's resigned) playing the ends. Then we'd have Suggs and McIntosh playing OLB with Fletcher and Blades playing inside. Blades might be better suited as a special teamer but could produce at a high level given the amount of talent surrounding him. And if we were really considering Suggs, I'd imagine we'd have to give up our 1st round pick if not more (high 2010 picks most likely). I'd rather draft Maualuga if he's available if we were to continue upgrading the defense and keep our future picks. |

Willis could'nt have been but so good to last this long. I doubt he's any better than Heyer.

That's what I thought. Plus there's no way to pay him.

Re: Willis picks Seahawks over SKINS
I think it's become pretty clear that the Redsklins are drafting a right tackle with their first pick. If they don't like the value at #13 then they can trade back ten to fifteen spots and pick up a RT with a late first round grade and pick up another first day selection. That right tackle from Connecticut has a late first round grade. Or they can do the same thing and draft Alex Mack in the mid to late 20's. Either way they have no choice but to draft an offensive lineman. I think all this talk about taking a linebacker in the first seems more and more unlikely because the offensive line is a much bigger need. NFL linebackers grow on trees compared to quality offensive linemen.

Re: Willis picks Seahawks over SKINS
I think Smoot mentioned it but the Raiders didn't pick up Barnes. I honestly think that we should turn our attention to him as either depth or a potential starter on the right side in case one of the big 4 dont drop to us at 13. I'm starting to get worried we're going into the season with Jansen, Heyer, and Clark as our potential right tackles. That is scary to me
