That just reminds me of the SNL skit with Seth Myers and Amy Pohler.

All a long I have been opposed to signing MV. Not because of the dog incident. As horrible as some of you fans make it out they were just dogs to me not human beings. He is no Pac-Man.

What concerned me the most was two fold.....does he fit our scheme? in other word would he fit in? and the second being his use of marijuana. Throughout his career at the Falcons little issues would come up similar to his "Airport" incident. was it his water bottle or not? The police were pretty positive then all of a sudden ...well we are not sure. mistakes were made. someone else could have walked up while he was placing all his personal carry ons in the tub and placed a weed fill water bottle in his tub just to get him into trouble.

Basically, I'm sure he's better then Collins. He's an upgrade. So if he can be tought the WCO which I believed he has played in it, then he should be all right in it. The second issue is the main concern then. I presume his yrs in prison have eliminated his weed issue....or so I would hope. I would put in his contract that he gets random drug tests, give a portion of his earning to PETA, and in is off duty time volunteer his time to any animal organization. If he agrees....sign him and see if he's better then TC.

He's far from a Pacman or a TO. As for whether he fits or not... this team would be the ideal situation for him. We sign him, he sits behind Jason, learns under Zorn a QB specialist. At the end of the year if JC leaves or get hurt we have Vick waiting to fill the spot. His speed at QB has to be accounted for. The combination of Moss, Portis, Cooley, ARE, Davis, Kelly, and Thomas would give nightmares to try and stop.

You may hate TO but he is not a criminal, Pacman and Vick are in that league all by themselves. Don't lump TO with them.

As much as I hate to say it, I would like to see Vick in the B and G.

I would take a chance on Vick. Even though I'm a dog owner, I think he's paid his debt to society and he'll get a second chance to play in the NFL.... just not with us.

I for one would do it. I would sign him at a low cost and sit him on the bench behind Jason. Great insurance policy if Campbell decides not to stay with us we have a probowl caliber player and he would bring so much to the offense.
The Pro Bowl is over-rated. And so is Mike Vick.

Agreed! Rule No.#1. Never pick him in FFB!

But mheisig had this to say a while ago over in this thread: http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-l...hs-prison.html

"23 months actually doesn't sound that bad.

I have a feeling he'll be back at some point."

I think the months in prison will affect MV's game, although Riggo did not seem affected after his time away from the game years ago. But playing RB is different than playing QB.

Re: The Vick Factor

Vick would cause two problems which would lean me towards saying no way. First off it would cause a QB controversy here and would probably lead towards Campbell demanding a trade before the season starts. I also think Vick isnt a good QB. The same problems everyone has with Campbell will be the same problems everyone will have with Mike Vick.

As I read somewhere (I think the comments section of RI). Herpes infected felon with a 50% completion percentage and a two year layoff. Where do I sign up?

This usually happens when someone gets abused by an authority figure before puberty. As a result they learn to deal with conflicts and troubling emotions through the use of violence, and in a relationship situation where conflict is natural, they just snap. I'm by no means defending them but as long as parents beat their kids we'll have people growing up with the inability to handle their emotions. I'm willing to bet that guys like Jerome Mathis, James Harrison, and Chris Brown got beat by their parents a little to hard. This is not to say that everyone beat by their parents will turn into a wife beater but it definitely increases the risk. It should come as no surprise that the middle east most likely has the highest rate of child abuse in the world.

On the other hand I don't know how someone gets into the torturing and brutally killing animals. With hunting I know it's a cultural thing but with hunting it's one shot and they're down. It's not a personal form of killing. Hanging and electrocuting animals indicates rage of a more personal nature and as a result indicates very serious mental problems. Not trying to get into the whole deal about how it's ok for certain people to kill certain animals and not others especially when it comes to meat but the way Vick went about his business is a serious red flag.

That's quite the admission for you to make! haha

As long as he isn't raping members of our team oh well, I don't see him as a fit though; and I'd be willing to bet that a lot more people than MV in the NFL have the herp
