Id say dropping that FG was a huge choke job and one of my favorite plays of all time. I had the picture framed on my desk at work for a year. I loved to hear the Cowboys fans walk by and talk smack when they saw the picture and how bad of a choke job it was by Romo.

look at his record the last four games of each of the last two seasons. Not good stuff. At all.

re: Romo gets dissed again.

I've said this many, many, many times, but we'll see exactly how good Romo is this year without TO. TO is who MADE that offense. He even made the rushing game work because he created a legit passing game. The few times Owens was hurt, Romo wasn't even average, he was FAR below.. I think somewhere in the bottom five passers with TO out.

The entire Dallas offense was VERY poor without Owens in the lineup.

So you aren't buying that whole addition by subtraction argument I take it.

Depends on if they can get anything out of Roy Williams.

I think they tried way too hard to cater to TO at times last year. He was targeted a ton and they had him running reverses for crying out loud... that's just awful and not the ideal way to use him.

Re: Romo gets dissed again.

Jacobs done won a super bowl, Romo never won a playoff game. This means Jacobs 1, Romo 0.

Not quite, AP is an absolute physical freak. To me Romo looks like he needs to hit the gym, far from a well chiseled athlete.

He has been blessed with a dominate o-line, and lots of offensive weapons. I do feel he gets lucky sometimes with the "improv", but he is a solid NFL quarterback. I feel like he has alot of Brett Favre in him, and I know some would say that makes him "great". Fact is........Romo is a gunslinger, sure he will throw lots of TD's, but he can't be trusted to take care of the ball. Ultimately, I dont think QB's in this mold give you the best chance at a Super bowl title. The chances of him stringing together 3-4 games to make/win a Super bowl are pretty slim IMO.

Plus, Big Al and Orakpo will hit him so hard this year, it will straighten out that goofy backwards hat for him.

Man, Jacobs sure does like to talk about opposing players doesn't he? I think he made some comments about Laron Landry a few weeks back as well.

Jacobs is classless in my opinion. His attitude on and off the field just stinks. I wouldn't even like him if he played for the Skins. I would be chanting for his release.

re: Romo gets dissed again.

The blame for losses will inevitably fall to the QB, regardless of the rest of the team. When the Eagles failed to get to the Super Bowl 4 years in a row, somehow the blame fell to McNabb.

When the Giants beat "the unbeatable" Patriots in the SB 2 years ago, it was inevitably put on Brady's inability to counter the NY defensive onslaught.

Same label was placed on John Elway, who had 5 playoff losses before they started making runs to the SB in Denver.

Likewise with Peyton Manning, 5 playoff losses before his team started winning.

Even Jason Campbell is being made a scapegoat in Washington, else why would they have tried and failed to trade for a replacement twice in one off-season.

I cant help but remember the Ravens game at Texas Stadium last season. The Dallas offense was able to keep a lead deep in the 4th quarter. Then the DEFENSE allowed and 82 yard TD run.

Very next set of plays, the Dallas Offense marched down field and took the lead again. Yep, with Tony Romo under pressure, but he still got it in the end zone.

Ravens next possesion, the DEFENSE allowed a 77 yard TD run which cost the game.

And still the blame eventually fell to the QB. Cant win the big game.

That is the price of being a QB in the NFL. You will always bask in the wins, but no matter how well an individual effort is, the loss gets blamed on you too.

And for teams like Washington and Dallas, the pressure is a bit higher. They are large market teams. And each team has deep playoff runs and/or championship seasons in almost every decade. the Cowboys have been a perinial playoff team is every decade since thier inception. The Cowboys have been in and or won a Super Bowl at least once in every decade since thier inception except one, the 1980's. But in the 1980's they were and the conference championship game more than once.

So there is a bit more pressure on them because the expectations are so high.

Not making excuses for Romo, more than a few times I have cussed him because of poor throws or decisions. But equally so, I have enjoyed what he has done.

I'll bet many of you can say the same for JC. Your cussin one minute and wearing his jersey the next.

QB's are praised when the team wins, and QB's are the scapegoat when they lose, we all know that.

I dont think the defense had anything to do with Romo dropping the extra point hold.....oh wait, Ware distracted him by yelling from the sideline...must be the defenses fault.

Tony Romo was 16 the last time the Cowboys won a playoff game. Romo is overrated, and for a QB that hasnt won anything, talking heads still line up to kiss his butt.

Ware couldn't have distracted him, he was hiding cuz he wanted Greg Ellis to go in. Maybe Romo was looking to see if he could find him though. Maybe the Cowboys can have a new kids book called Where is Ware.

Strange situation. A guy hiding from coaches so his buddy can go in? Talk about the inmates running the asylum.
