Yes Gibbs deserves as much time as he needs to get this done. And he'll get it.

Snyder won't fire Gibbs, and Gibbs won't quit like Spurrier did. They're both better than that.

Our next division game is 7 weeks from now. The team can meet philly with a 7-2 record. Now I think we can win the next six games. The defense is going to continue to get better and the hopefully Brunell will stay healthy enough to play against philly.

the crowd was still cheering loudly with 7 minutes left and 11 points down... NY would have been booing loudly by then.

Angry

on espn news yesterday, john clayton of all people defended gibbs and said that the difference between gibbs and past redskins coaches was that gibbs has a system in place to fix these type of problems, where coaches of the past would not.why do'nt some of these genisues ask other coaches like, jon gruden,or bill parcels if they think the game has passed gibbs and the skins coaching staff by?the media needs to smell what they are shoveling.

If we win on Sunday... this all goes away. If we win big, all everyone will talk about is how great Gibbs is, just like after Tampa. The media sucks ( of course I wanna get into that area, haha).

It's hilarious how quickly the media is jumping on the 'the game has passed him by' bandwagon. After just 3 games?? C'mon, it's just ridiculous.

But this isn't about Spurrier, Marty, Norv, etc. it's about Gibbs. And I think we all pretty much agree that Gibbs made some very poor decisions yesterday.
Gibbs was the first to admit it also.

Hey, $hit happens man......even to Gibbs. He's not perfect, and he does have a little bit of rust. He was out of the game for 12 freaking years!

The media is so f@#king fickle. If that last pass was half a yard closer to the sideline and Gardner is able to fall out of bounds, we kick the FG, and are able to win it in OT, the same critics would be praising him for overcoming the bad calls and the time management errors. Whatever....

A couple of wins and the same people that are questioning him now will be all on his jock.

One can go from goat to god, and vice versa, in a flash with the media, it's pathetic.

Yawn. These guys write their stories before the season begins: if the skins are 1-2, run the "Gibbs has lost it story"; if they're 2-1, run the "Gibbs is God" story; etc. Whatever. Gotta be a bit more thick skined here. This is the era of 24 hour sports television. They gotta do something to fill the air time, and this is a logical and popular story. Get used to it.

Instead, just focus on what Gibbs HIMSELF says. He's probably his own toughest critic, and the most honest. Patience and perserverence, boys and girls. It will come!

As for the schedule, it's one game at a time. THere are no gimmes in the NFL.

Yes the media sucks, but dallas fags/fans suck worse. just had to say that, but back to the subject you know we could be 3-0 and also be 0-3. The way we have been playing (defense) this year and the roster we have players/coaches everyone would have to agree our team should be more like 3-0. Costly turnovers and a slow start for the offense is at fault sometimes, but it's really hard for an offense to get in a routine when you have crusing blows from the Fu*%ing Refs. I always think that even when we have bad calls from the refs, sholdn't be an excuse if we loose the ball game, but when you get calls that are so big that there is no way they should have missed it and it takes points away form you and gives points to the other team. the team will not have time left in a game to get things going as the Redskins did at the end and came in reach of a great come back. Oh and there is No way in hell that garder could have gone out of bounds after dallas saftey came and helped out the cb.

I wasn't saying he could have.....just that hypothetically, if he had and we found a way to win it, the same people who are criticizing Gibbs would be praising him....

Will Waltrip be asking the same thing in five years when Gibbs comes back to NASCAR?

To start second-guessing the guy after three weeks is a bit early isn't it? I mean Snyder even gave Norv Turner four weeks before he chewed his butt off after the Dallas loss.

Gibbs will right the ship, maybe even this week.
