ESPN is too predictable when it comes to the Skins. They're all picking the Lions to win. Yawn.

Re: ESPN: Riggins and a Redskins Legend calling out Zorn
Opinions vary - but SJ is a Redskins legend and a better QB than Coach Zorn ever was. An old school Hall of Fame QB. He has been integral with the Redskins organization for decades. I tend to give him his due respect and listen when he speaks on all matters Redskins. A new coach would be wise to enlist his sage council instead of going for a smart-a** retort.
Just my two cents - |

This whole thing has been seriously overblown, but what else is new?

Scott Van Pelt has been my favorite person to listen too regarding critism towards the Redskins. Not only is he a smart guy, but he's also a fan of the team.

More from Riggins...
Riggins tells Cris Collinsworth that Snyder's heart is dark. D.C. Sports Bog - Riggins says Snyder is 'a bad guy'

Re: ESPN: Riggins and a Redskins Legend calling out Zorn
How can you even argue at this point?
We're seriously making excuses like "HE WANTS TO WIN!!!" and "THEY TRY!!!" and what I've been seeing even on this board lately "YEAH WELL HE MIGHT NOT BE GOOD BUT WHAT ABOUT THIS OTHER GUY WE BROUGHT IN THE OTHER YEAR, HE'S WORSE, SO THIS GUY WE HAVE NOW ISN'T SO BAD!!" not good enough only thing that matters at the end is the W-L columns very sad year for the franchise |

Re: ESPN: Riggins and a Redskins Legend calling out Zorn
That was my exact reaction. Please Riggo, you have an occasional valid point but dial it down a little big fella. The whole 'this is a bad guy' thing was just over the top.

Re: ESPN: Riggins and a Redskins Legend calling out Zorn
Matty:
Indeed some wins will quiet some of the criticism and the venom directed toward the FO and the owner. However, some evidence of a change in the way they do business would also quiet some of that criticism even before those wins show up on the board. A lot of the frustration that fans are voicing this season deals with the fact that the FO is treating the fans as if fans have not been watching how the team has done its businessfor the last decade. Cut the Four Tops here: It's the same old song ... Riggins admits he has an ax to grind in this matter. Maybe he is trying to be the "voice of the fan" (noble indeed) or maybe he is still angry that Danny Boy axed Riggo's radio gig here in DC (not so noble indeed). Whatever his motive(s), I doubt that John Riggins is the only person with ties to the Redskins' organization who thinks that Danny Boy is a "less that totally wonderful human being". Give Bobby Mitchell some truth serum and listen to what he might have to say on this matter...

Re: ESPN: Riggins and a Redskins Legend calling out Zorn
I think Riggins is basically applying for a job -- the more outspoken he is, he figures somebody will offer him a spot on a show somewhere. More power to him.
Regardless, the heat needs to cranked up on this joke of a front office. |
