I think this post is right on. If you remember back in the '92 season, they were having offensive problems then, too. They went through a stretch of so many games or quarters without an offensive touchdown. The whole time, everyone was calling for Mark Rypien's head -- saying he had to be benched, let someone else try it, blah, blah, blah.

Gibbs stayed with Rypien the whole year. Never lost faith in him. During a Monday Night game, Al Michaels said he talked with Gibbs and asked about Rypien's performance. Gibbs responded by saying, "he's been a little bit off -- just like the rest of us."

Gibbs won't pull any Spurrier QB merry-go-rounds. He'll stick with Brunell until he starts throwing INTs after INTs. And as bad as Brunell has been, he hasn't COMPLETELY screwed up by giving the ball away like we saw Ramsey do against the Giants. That's Brunell's only saving grace.

Brunell has been ineffective, but Ramsey would probably be even worse. That's why you aren't seeing #11 warm up on the sidelines. Still, I would say that at this point, you might as well give it to Ramsey to see once and for all what you've got. But Gibbs won't do that. He had no problem during all those years letting rookie quarterbacks hold the clipboard for season after season before handing him the reigns. I suspect he'll follow the same pattern for Ramsey.

I do think we will see a first round draft pick on QB next year.

Maybe it is time for a change, but I'm still not going to pin all the blame on Brunell.

Alot of other guys are struggling right along with him, the entire offense is sputtering, it's not just Brunell.

I don't know if Ramsey would make much of a difference.

Might as well toss him in there so he stink up the joint and we can call for his head and beg for Hasslebeck.

I agree it's not all on Brunell (Portis, the O-Line, Bugel and Gibbs deserve some blame).

I also WANT TO MAKE VERY CLEAR that I don't think Ramsey is going to be our savior this seaon. But, I do believe Ramsey would've produced a better record for us by now than Brunell has.

I'm gonna agree and say we cant pin it all on Brunell, because alot of guys arent doing their job. While its not completley his fault, I'm going to say bring in Ramsey. Brunell is just not comfortable whatsoever. He is throwing duffs, and just thorwing on the run, not setting his feet. I mean, hes gonna get drilled no matter what, so he has to suck it up and just stay calm. I agree with your last quote too, because thats whats gonna happen as soon as Ramsey has a bad game. Personally, I wnat to see Ramsey in because I think he can lead this offense better. I dont know, I just think Brunell is washed up, hes deifntley not the same anymore.

Brunell is NOT the one thing "off" with this offense. do not get it twisted. Ramsey has a TON to learn, and can stink up the joint just as bad if not worse. but since he's the qb of the future, i say get all out of him now. we have nothing to lose at this point.

The seasons done. Put Ramsey in and let him get a lot of practice.

There's no way we can salvage anything from this season but our pride and some understanding of where we are headed. If Brunell can't get it done at 34, do you think he'll be better at 35?

Ramsey may or may not be the ultimate answer, but I KNOW Brunell is not our short term answer, or our long term solution.

I still can't believe we didn't score a single point on a unassisted (resulting from a TO) drive.

I think Brunell doesn't have confidence in his arm anymore

I think Brunell has given up on the offensive line. After the fumble after Bett's failure to block, Brunell went down hill.

Thumbs up

I trust Gibbs & staff know what's best for the team, so if they choose Brunell over Ramsey, I have to agree with them. What are we all a bunch of Daniel Snyders...?

I think we can all agree that Brunell is not the future, so we will just have to work with what we have for the time being.

Last season, when all seemed lost Ramsey would still gut out a blitz or pass rush (sometimes for too long). I haven't seen anything like that from Brunell.

Hasselbeck sounds better than either one of them!
