Why we need to rout for 2-14

I've already accepted the fact that the team is bad and the organization is worse but even though I'm boycotting the team, I can't say I wish they will lose. There is something in me that would love to see them win eight games in a row and go to the playoffs. I know its not going to happen but can't a fan dream.

So am I getting this right that I see most everyone would rather the Skins win a couple of games to cover Vinny and keep the structure as-is?

I doubt even one person on this board wants Vinny to stay. But most fans will not root against their team. period. If DS doesn't know by now that VC and this whole team needs to be blown up and started with a different pattern of behaviour then winning one, two, or even 6 more games is not going to change his mind.

What you should be seeing in response to your thread title, is that no fan should ever root for their team to lose. ever.

We don't know what will happen w/the CBA, uncapped year, etc. Regardless, I think the nfl salary cap & draft structure gives teams an incentive to play well so that they DON'T get the #1 pick. That pick costs a lot of $ & can screw a team if the player doesn't pan out. It's much better to be in the latter half of the top 10 where there are stars for the taking & they cost less. Plus they have less pressure on them.

But Freddy - I don't think this team as currently constructed is ony one draft away. Realistically we are several drafts away from turning the corner.On offense outside of Cooley are there any players that are long term solutions? On defense we have some talent but enought to offset the other side.

Well, how ever we´ll end, 2-14, 3-13, 4-12 (don´t think we have chances ending better) would you prefer using the high pick we get or maybe trade the high 1st rounder for a late 1st and a 2nd?

I would prefer a trade down but as many have pointed out it takes 2 to tango and many teams want to avoid the high salaries of the top picks - the only exception to this for me would be if Russell Okung is availble the Redskins must take him with that first pick.

CRedskins - I don't have another team I am rooting for - I love the Redskins and have been a fan for my entire life - it pains me to see them lose like this and become the laughinstock of the NFL - I just think Synder is so stuck on his way and his system that the only way things can get changed is for the worst possible thing to occur.

I'm pretty sure that for Snyder, the worst has occurred already.

There is no demonstrable evidence that at 2-14 Vinny will be fired but at 7-9 he won't. Therefore I disagree with the premise of this thread.

And never, ever, ever can I root against the Skins.
