Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft

I think Skelton is probably a 4th or 5th rounder. He'll play in the East-West Shrine Game so that will be huge for him. As well as the combines and pro day. He has the chance to move up to the 2nd-3rd round if he does well in those.

he really looked great in those clips if we could snag him in the 5th that would be fine by me, either him or pike in the second, possible third if we can get a pick and he is still there

you still want clausen i'm guessing, i'm just not sold on him, i didn't watch nd too much this year but the few friends i have that do follow nd aren't even sold on him, they say w/o tate he wouldn't be considered that great

I'm not quite sure who I want. I mean if we draft a QB in the first round (and I kind of feel we should) then I'm torn between Clausen and Bradford. I think each is a potential high-risk, high reward choice.

After that-not sold on Pike, think Snead could make a good pro but have concerns about his mental toughness, not sure Zac Robinson can be an everydown QB, think Dominic Randolph might not be tough enough, and have some doubts about Skelton's maturity level (from some reports I've heard).

I think the one guy I most want is Jonathan Dwyer, RB from Georgia Tech, but not in the 1st round of course.

I'd ideally like to get Bradford/Clausen in the 1st, USC OT Charles Brown in the 2nd and then hope to trade into the late 2nd/early 3rd and get Dwyer

You think that Brown will still be there in the 2nd? He does seem like he has the right measurables for a Shanny type lineman. Read something a few weeks ago saying he has the skills of a WCO lineman in NFL, seems like we could get a good value pick out of someone like him.

It will be tough. He's late first/early 2nd round right now in my opinion.

Living in Mississippi I've seen a lot of Snead and I think he should wait a year IMHO. He just does not seem ready for prime time.

He must be up and down because when I've seen him he hasn't looked that good. Maybe I haven't seen enough of him.

Agreed, but at the same time if he does come out he's probably a mid-rounder. Shanahan could take him and develop him while starting Campbell for one more year-which isn't all that unlikely.

Shanahan is definitely drafting a QB this year. I just don't know where

bradford would be especially very bad here imo without a line. if you watch bradford from his soph year, he had literally all day to throw. now he is coming off a major shoulder injury, i just dont see him being a good fit in washington. clausen would be my choice, he has had to face a lot more hardships through playing at nd during a lot of rebuilding time. and i really dont think much of pike. that being said, i hope we stick with campbell and forget about drafting a qb high. as for dwyer, he is a great back, but i seriously doubt he drops far past our 2nd round pick if he even comes out, hes a junior and i havent seen anything anywhere that says hes coming out yet, though i could have missed that.

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft

Give me either

Okung (Oklahoma State)
Ingram (Alabama)
A. Davis (Rutgers)
Jahvid Best (California)

I would go in this order assuming Berry, and Suh are gone. I would definitely NOT pick a QB! We have Brennan, who respectfully deserves a shot. We all know J. Campbell can play, as a matter of fact he is a stud. With the crappiest offensive line we have he set career numbers and if it wasn't for the lack of protection he wouldn't have as many INT's. (see 2008 season as far as ball security goes, give him protection and he will secure the ball) Now I would likely take Okung and maybe find some other O linemen in free agency. Second round we could find a steal at running back. Ingram should be gone but if not then we take him or Best and if he is gone gotta go with Stafon Johnson! He is a hell of a back, trust me I have seen him play every game! As far as QB's go if there is a question regarding J. Campbell or Brennan then 2011 draft we take Locker no doubt about it. We should sign Campbell to a three years extension and that should give Locker a 2 year sitting window to learn the system and to take us to far better places!

Correct me If im wrong but Mark Ingram is a true Sophomore and thus can't be in the draft. I'd be wary of Stefan Johnson, has he even come back from that lifting accident? If not I'd sort of like to see him play again. And I don't know how you can call Campbell a stud.I'm not gonna hate on him I think he's a good QB and a high quality backup if not a starter in this league. He can lead a team and he can be the QB, but I don't think he's a game changer and I would never trust him to win a game for me. With the exception of the game against the saints in 2008 I can't remember him leading us to a comeback win the 4th quarter, and I have more memories of him throwing ints during crucial drives. Now maybe a good O line fixes that but I don't think so.

As far as running backs in the second round I like Ryan Matthews from Fresno state. He led the league in rushing and if he's there i think he'd be a good pick; however, I'm gonna keep going with my man crush on Noel devine. He hasn't said if he's coming out yet but I think the guy's gonna be a beast and a game changer. Not to mention he might make watching the Redskins fun...

I think we shoud just get Bradford but if we can trade down and get 2 first round picks we can get 2 oline men and use the 2nd on colt McCoy

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft

With the 4th pick, I would like to seee us draft Ingram.... to support and learn under CP. our 5 and 7 picks should be about rebuilding our aging O-line. We need a new freash line of HOGS! 350 and beyond.... Once the line is in place (1.5 years for gelling) We'll be back in the Superbowl chase!!! The Defense can be address in FA, but remember if we can control the ball, no defense can stand on their own. -- Hail Skins!
