McNabb in. Campbell out. No respect due. Just sign the sheet and find a team to backup the starting QB.

Ok lets be reasonable here. JC, thanks for the memories. Ill never forget the time you
Threw the bomb to Moss for the game winner vs the Saints.
Drove the team back against the Panthers with the big play to Cooley.
And the time you.................. uh, thats all i got.

He has been nothing but classy throughout this process and the last couple of years when frankly he has at times been treated in less than a professional manner by this organization. For Jason's sake and his own development I hope he gets to go to a team where he can have a fresh start.

You gave me an idea...Shuler jersey off e-Bay...change nameplate...ba-boom. Cheap McNabb jersey.

I agree...this thread is premature. I think he COULD end up staying and at some point, come in to play if McNabb goes down.

Thanks JC for the headaches and underaverage seasons. Now we have a QB who can throw a touchdown pass to a WR before the middle of the season. You are a class act but I am glad it will be with another team now!! Goodbye

Yeah, this is a thread that is more fitting for an Eagle forum on McNabb than a Redskin forum on Campbell. Campbell has had his detractors during his relatively brief and on-the-whole uneventful stay here, but they've been far outnumbered by his supporters and/or apologists. I've liked him, sympathized with the challenges he's faced here, but when he (presumably) leaves, I hardly think it will be a significant day in Redskin lore.

An Eagles forum would NEVER make a thread to show respect to a player, ESPECIALLY McNabb.

Yes...another chance to post it...

Some folks need to be reminded that poor on-field performance does not mean that is some Campbell bad-character dude who deserves to be jailed and put in solitary.

Re: Can we please take a time out and show Jason Campbell some respect here?

I've been tempted to do a search on all of the debates between the Campbell supporters and the detractors over the past few seasons. There was a time when what seemed like a good solid majority were incredulous at the idea that JC might not be the quarterback of the future after all. Some were beside themselves at the thought that anyone even dare suggest it.

I guess most people had hope at the beginning -- personally, my optimism for him faded faster than others. I always had some leeway for him because the receivers were suspect, and the O-line by late 2008 and throughout '09 end gave him no chance.

So I sort of wanted to call out all those people who argued practically to the death that JC is the QB the future, that he just needs one more chance. But I won't.

As for the "respect" that he is due? Well ... he seemed like a nice fella.

How about that?

1. For closing down TX Stadium(dump) with a Redskin Victory. All though we should have opened up the new dump with one.

2. For being a true class act my man, how you made it through that circus of a season last year speaks volumes of your character. A lesser man (ex.Jeff George) would have made that situation so much worse than what it was. I personally would have mofo’ed a player, coach, official, reporter, my dog, all the Sherman’s, an old woman, the owner, Vinnie, or anyone close to that mess.

3. For not being a Heath Shuler. (got a feeling the new #5 is gona be a little better)

4. Never complaining about the offense. I lost count of exactly how many coordinators you studied under, but you could probably put together you own offense by now. I think this will do you well where ever you land.

5. For not blowing your ACL on Zorn’s slip-n-slide.

6. For surviving last year behind that o-line. That in it’s self was a true festivus miracle. That’s the first time I ever saw where a one man rush could get to the quarterback. I thought every time u dropped back it was gona be a screen. (I will give Buges some lovin, cause I thought he did one heck of a job considering).

7. Thanks man, I wish you well.
Eehh why? He's been paid very well to be an average football player for the past few years and someone will be paying him 3 million bucks this year to be an average football player for them. I don't wish him any ill will but I am not going to line up to pat him on the back either. If he played better he would still be the starting QB of the Redskins...that's all this is about.

I think its been stated enough times on this forum. JC is such a classy act, a cute little kitty cat who is so talented..........lets all pat him on the head.

Noone is saying he has a bad character. I am just saying good f*ckin riddance, and hello to a real QB that actually guns the flippin ball down the field.

Yes, very nice post. It's tough for "fans" to step back and take a honest look at their players. JC, while a dedicated, tough, stand up guy, is not a guy that's going to lead this franchise to championships. He's a decent, maybe slightly above average qb who's a great guy from all accounts.

It's only natural for people to have hope and optimism early on. Good for you if you "figured it out" quicker than others. If this told you so moment makes you feel better go for it, I'm sure you've never been wrong on things before.

Who knows really, under different conditions things might have worked out better for JC. In the end though he's a solid QB, not a bum as some want to make him out to be. Will he ever be a franchise guy? Probably not. But can he be a solid starter under more stable conditions than what has been the Washington Redskins during the Snyder/Cerrato era? I think so.

I've never been one overly eager to serve up dishes of crow when I'm right about something. Like I said, the temptation was there, sure. But I'll refrain.

The main point though, is to respond to people who say Jason is due all this respect. Look, I don't wish him any ill will, but I'm perplexed by those who say we owe him some sort of going away party after all that he's done for us. What has he done?

Oh, and just for the record, yes ... sometimes, The Beemnseven is wrong.
