Why not Fred Davis for Gaither?

We only have three TE's on the roster, why would we trade Fred Davis one of the more promising young players we have? There will be other ways to acquire a tackle.

This. If i had just one prediction to make for the rest of the off-season it's Cooley getting traded. He has more trade value than anyone on offense and if Davis is expected to be Shannon Sharpe reloaded, well, you get the idea.

...I think an interesting question is whether Cooley is packaged along w/ JC or something. I mean if we could get another 1st rd pick I'd fall back into line w/ the new regime.

Are you honestly thinking the Ravens would give up a stud lineman for a TE. Or do you mean our 1st round pick too? what am i missing here?

I would rather trade cooley. Not sure I want Gaither anymore though with the stuff floating around about his work ethic.

No Cooley or Davis for Gaither. Gaither has too many question marks, he doesn't like to workout, his heart is not in the game, etc. Do you wander why the Ravens are shopping him if he's so valuable? They know something and are looking for a trading sucker.

This is a very deep tight end draft and we're at a point now where Tight Ends are inching closer to running back status (ie important but a the same time easy to find). I mean if Vinny can find two very good TE's then they must be a dime a dozen (by the way I'm not basing it on this). It's unfortunate though, Tight End is my favorite position in all of football.
