Re: Joey Galloway signed

If Joey got in shape, etc he might be serviceable for one season. IF he does rather well in training camp he might make the top 5 this season and send the newbie to the practice squad for a year.

Re: Joey Galloway signed

I think he was signed to mentor the young WR's and maybe teach Austin some return skills. I don't think he'll make the final roster cut.

Half won't even be on the team next season. My guess, Roydell Williams and Hagans will be gone again. Unless Armstrong supprises I can see him gone also. James Robinson or Austin or both might be on the PS this yr. Active WR's...

Moss
Thomas
Kelly
Mitchell
Galloway?

People suggest locker room leadership? So I guess Moss's value is starting to plummet. I mean he's not catching as many passes recently, he's hurt more often, the last thing I'd think is he's a vet leader and now people are saying Galloway is here for leadership. Can we just cut Moss also?

Re: Joey Galloway signed

The leadership angle doesn't make sense. You can't instill leadership in the newbies over a 4-6 week period. If anything he is indeed here to push the newbies, but to instill leadership skills in such short of a time span isn't realistic, especially since the newbies figure he is a goner anyway.

True. Hopefully he can impart some helpful tidbits of wisdom before he is shown the door.

If he actually makes the roster, it means we have the worst receiving corps in the NFL.

Re: Joey Galloway signed

The old vet approach....I'll take the wait and see approach on this one. We need an upgrade at the WR position this isn't really along the lines of what I was thinking of.

But we'll see. He could have another year left in the tank.

Re: Joey Galloway signed

I still want TO, I dont care what anyone says, if we signed him, I would officially be comfortable with going into this season. TO, Santana, Devin Thomas and Malcom Kelly. We would be set, keep Marko and Austin if he does his thing in the preseason.
