re: Notable Injuries Around the League
I keep saying injuries are a reality in the NFL, not an excuse. Even your back-ups that make the squad have to be expected to start and contribute at some point.
Every team will have their share of starters going down this season. |

re: Notable Injuries Around the League
The Ravens had their nice little run, now that D is old, REED may retire and Ray Lewis only has 1-2 more yrs at best. I also think their Offense won't be as good as people think.

re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Should make life a little easier for a schdule that will put Williams up against many of the leagues best pass rushers. I mean he's already got to face Ware, Super Mario, Chris Long, Trent Cole/Brandon Grahm, Dwight Freeny, Jared Allen, and Clay Matthews. In fact facing these guys is a big part of why the Redskins need to be able to make sure they can establish a ground game.

re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Start D Hall and Buchanon, have Tryon be the nickel back until he leaps over Buchanon on the depth chart...also have Barnes on the bench.
It's not a bad idea honestly, we could be fine without Carlos if health holds up. Of course, it's nice to have depth at CB. Do we have any major needs left? The only way we should do this is to solidify a weakness.

im expecting and hoping for a big year for los. never understood the steep decrease in his value due solely to him having the worst hands in the league. man that sucks for the ravens, all the talk this offseason has been how the ravens decided to draft for depth at the D line but not the secondary whom many feel is the weakest and shallowist unit. they do have ladarius webb whom i think can play up or close to foxworth's level if he continues to progress from his rookie year. the city of baltimore is pretty pumped up. its all im hearing.

Are Buchanon and Tryon better? I highly doubt it. Plus you can't go into the season with only 4 "quality" CBs. Now if all these guys show that they are better than Carlos during camp by all means trade him. LB and OL positions to me still need shoring up.

re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Huge setback for Baltimore. With Tryon's development, I wonder if it is worth considering trading Rogers to the Ravens for a pick or two. Although at this point, B'more may look to someone who has not been picked up. Still, the Ravens are getting thin in the DB group, with Reed hurt, and both Webbs and Washington coming off injuries.

Jared Gaither carted off the field
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on July 30, 2010 5:11 PM ET The bad times continue at Ravens camp. Ravens tackle Jared Gaither was carted off the field Friday afternoon with an apparent back injury, according to the Baltimore Sun. Rumored to be on the trading block all offseason, Gaither split work on Friday at right and left tackle. Gaither missed much of the offseason with a toe injury. We'll let you know if the back injury proves serious, further screwing up the PFT Magazine predictions by Florio and Silva, who both picked the Ravens to make the Super Bowl. Baltimore lost cornerback Domonique Foxworth earlier Friday for the season to a ACL tear.

Any of you who think Tryon has somehow transformed into a legit NFL cornerback need to lay off the crazy pills.
Trade Tryon to Baltimore. |

re: Notable Injuries Around the League
OKC sports radio has also reported Dez Bryants injury. According to sources here, Bryant landed on a DB's foot after a crossing route. No news on how severe though.
UPDATE: Just saw the video, it didn't look to bad honestly Wade Phillips says it seems like a sprain

re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Just like anyone who thinks trading Rogers and starting Buchanon is an option.

re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Looks like Dez Bryant could miss significant practice time if it's a high ankle sprain.
